Acer Aspire Predator and new Aspire V Nitro

Just saw that Acer had announced new series of gaming laptop, smartphone, tablets and desktop called Predator. They also announced new version of Acer Aspire V Nitro with new design. Both the Predator and new Aspire V Nitro seems kinda cool though, so what you guys think of it?

Help convince my dad to change to Unifi

I currently using screamyx 4Mbps but screamyx starts to throttling speeds like file sharing site and even youtube. As changing from screamyx to unifi, we need to get the fiber to connect to our house from outside, but my father said no since he scare the staff from TM need to "nail" the cable on the wall. As I told him that they only carry the cable through the window, no need nail the cable on the wall, but he still won't listen. Now I can't watch youtube or download stuff and this makes me suffer.

Wifi Extender under RM100

Any wifi extender recommended that under RM100? I need it for my room since I only receive 1-2 wifi bar although my room and the modem is on the first floor but the modem is placed at the left side of a thick wall and my room is at right side of that thick wall. There's also no other place for me to place the modem.

Torrent download speed is capped by you, nvm, but now youtube also cap and the speed is worst than using 1mbps package, f**k you la Streamyx, you suck.

You need to download rw everything from here http://rw-everything.software.informer.com/ and launch it , then select the "EC" tab that is circled in screenshot.

Then go to 90x03 that is for right fan near the GPU , it should h;ave value 04 for auto fan speed , you must modify it to 14 for manual fan speed then you can modify the speed in the next column (90x04) with values from 99 to 60 , where 99 value is the lowest speed and the 60 value the highest speed , in the next column (90x05) you will see the actual speed of the fan
For the left fan near the CPU go to 90x06 and do the same thing: 04 for auto fan speed , 14 for manual fan speed ; and in the next column (90x07) set the speed with values from 99 to 40 , where the 40 is the max speed of that fan.
With the fans set to maximum speed , i never exceed 65°C in GPU and 80°C in CPU that is set to run with all four cores to 3.5GHZ from intel XTU.
I think that the cooling system potential on this laptop is more efficient than the one from asus G571 which is giant.

Mine:
When idle= 45-50 celcius
When gaming = 80-90 celcius, sometimes exceed 90.

My CPU are really hot when gaming. Sometimes it reach 90+ celcius even I'm using cooling pad (CM U3 Plus) and it pretty scares me. Currently using AAV Nitro. Below are the pics of my laptop temp while playing BF3.

High disk usage while playing games?

There's a high disk usage when playing games in high settings, but it become normal when I lower the settings. Below are my specs:

Should I get a laptop for college although I already got a desktop in hostel? I need laptop since most of my assignment need to discuss together with group members. And when in the discussion, all of my friends having laptop to do the assignment but I just sit in the circle and do nothing since I don't have a laptop and I can only do the assignment after get back to hostel. I also like gaming and that's why I brought my desktop to my hostel at first. Was planning to get Acer Aspire V Nitro but if after I buy the laptop, I probably won't use my current desktop anymore since I don't need to bring desktop to hostel and just left it at home. What should I do?

Windows 8.1 apps freezing when using usb tethering

When i use usb tethering with my phone, windows 8.1 apps start freezing and this annoying me. I'm not sure is this problem related to my desktop hardware because I test usb tethering with other computer with windows 8.1 and it run well. Anyone face this problem before?
