ASTRO IPTV and RT-N66U

Hi everybody,

I have terminated my UNIFi services from TM and subscribe to ASTRO-Maxis IPTV.

During my 2 years using of Unifi, I can use my RT-N56U(loan to someone already) and RT-N66U without ever using the supplied DLink Router by TM. I can connect to Internet and also watch HyppTV.

After one month of parallel running of TM-Unifi and ASTRO-Maxis, i decided to terminate the Unifi and use ASTRO-Maxis only. I tried to use the my RT-N66U to replace that Maxis-Thompson router but cannot get IPTV eventhough the internet is OK.

So, I decided to connect the Maxis-Thompson router to the BTU (ONU-Alcatel-Lucent-I240G) and my RT-N66U to the Maxis-Thompson router. Thus only one connection out from the Maxis-Thompson router to my WAN connection of the RT-N66U router.

I configure the Maxis-Thompson router to give DMZ access to the connected RT-N66U and all my wireless and ASTRO-IPTV connected to the RT-N66U. working sweetly and no problem at all. Internet and IPTV is working. I even have 2 ASTRO PVR (using the 2nd decoder promotion).

I can even uses Asus AICloud android app, Use the built-in torrent downloader, and use the built-in ASUS DDNS.

I can access the router from my office via port 8081 for torrent/file downloading so that when I reach home, the file is ready to play.

Now, how can I bypass that Maxis-Thompson router at all and use my RT-N66U stand alone?

Thank you very much for any suggestion and help.

regards,

morisa
