Hi fellow sifu,

Have already been working for a few years, and I save around 25-30% each month.
Currently no commitment for car and housing loan so I have some cash sitting in my HSBC advance account which gives me 3% minimum and up to 5% if I fulfilled their save + pay + spend requirement every month.

And recently have a look at this investment sub-forum in lyn and I have roughly go through the thread at here.
Have the thought to start my passive income investment but not sure which investment portfolio to go for.
Would like to go for long term and have these a few in mind which is REIT and Stashaway which these 2 area considered as low risk i suppose?

The other high risk portfolio and require long term/full time study on the market like US ETF and stock are not currently in my thought right now.
Still doing my homework regarding Unit Trust, ASB etc.

Any sifu can advice and shed some light which I should better go for?

Hi fellow sifu, currently am looking my first property.
Already consult the banker to process my loan, so here are the 2 option that I have and I am not sure which one is better.

MBB
Property price 385,000
MRTA 8463 25 years
Downpayment 10%
Interest BR 3% + SR 1.22% TOTAL 4.22%
Monthly installment 1619 for 35 years

Hong Leong
Property price 385,000
MRTA 6266 25 years
Downpayment 10.2%
Interest BR 3.88% + SR 0.37% TOTAL 4.25%
Monthly installment 1655 for 33 years

Pros of MBB is the advance payment I can pump 100% whereas Hong Leong only allowed me to pump 30% of outstanding balance.
Would like to ask is the 30% capping making much difference if in the future I have a hugh sum money and pump all in to principal to save interest?

Paypal mischarged problem

Hi.I think kopitiam will get me the answer the fastest way.

Just last week I registered for Viper Challenge with amount of RM1.3k and upon checking out making payment with using paypal where my maybank debit card attached to it. But then I got the error saying the payment was not successful but at the same time I got a sms from Maybank saying that I had made the payment.

Checked with Viper Challenge, they had no record with my payment. Checked with Maybank just now, they advise me to lodge a report to paypal and get refund ( something like this ), was given a report number and I was asked to visit maybank2u and a few steps to retrieve the report. Forgot the steps to get the report, can anyone enlighten me? And does anyone faced this problem before? thanks smile.gif

Good day guys. Am having a problem here and wish any sifu can help me out

I currently have 2 houses, A and B

A is subscribing 4MBPS package whereas B is subscribing 1MBPS. As most of the time I stay at home B and do some downloading task. So I am asking if I can swap my 4mbps streamyx account from A to use at B and B's account to use at A?

Does it work with this method? Any comments and helps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Lan internet direct to laptop

Hello good day guys. I have currently facing a problem. I just moved into my university dorm. And in my room, I have a wall plug that can connect telephone line, it is supposed to be the Internet LAN source right?

And now I would like to connect it using LAN to my laptop. Do I need a modem or router in order to receive internet signal or just direct plug a wire from the wall to my laptop to receive internet?

Any help would be much appreciated and do correct me if I am wrong as I am not really a tech savvy

Utorrent for android slow but fast in pc

Hello good day everybody. Recently I have tried the uTorrent apps for android and unfortunately the download speed turned out really low. It's like 1-5kb/sec.. but then when I use pc to download the same torrent the speed can reach with what my streamyx can allow. ( 1MB package, around 100-110kb/sec ).Is there anything wrong with my android apps?

Hopefully there are some people that could provide helpful answers. Thanks !

I used to be a Chrome user and sometimes I find that when scrolling through Facebook, it lags for a millisecond, like just getting stuck there for 1 or 2 second and continue. Keep scrolling down and lag for another 1 or 2 seconds and smooth for 5 seconds and the cycles continues.

Decided switch to Firefox and with smooth scrolling featured enabled, I can scroll thru the Facebook smoothly. But then the laggy problem comes lately. Same lagging problem happened on my Chrome in Firefox. This is frustrating as it really gets my nerve on.

Anyone of you have experienced this before?

Maybe I should try another web browser?

Btw, other sites in Chrome and Firefox has no problem at all, only when surfing Facebook..

CPU fan cooler speed 0 rpm

Hello fellow forumers. I bought a desktop pc 2 years ago and all this while, while I am using pc most of the time I will listening to the music.

So recently I found that my fan cooler is actually quite loud. This happens when I am using the pc and didn't turn on the music, the fan spinning sound isn't that loud that I can't bear it but it's kinda bother me when I am not listening to the music.

I go to the BIOS and trying to turn down my fan speed but then I realised that all the fan speed reading are showing 0rpm. This can't be true as all the fan cooler in my CPU are spinning. I also have downloaded a software called SpeedFan that allows us to manually changing the fan cooler speed but unfortunately it also shows 0 rpm reading.

For your information I have a total 5 fan coolers in my CPU and 2 of them are XIGMATEK 14CM LED FANS and 3 cooler master 90 CFM. All of them are spinning normally.

What's wrong with the reading? Is anything wrong with the wiring in the CPU connecting to my motherboard causing a failure to read my fan coolers speed?

Hello guys. It's my first time to post a thread and I am currently having an issue and would like to seek you guys opinions regarding my streamyx internet.

I have 2 houses let say House A and House B. Now both of my houses have 2 streamyx line 1MBPS package subscribed. It's 1MB RM110 package and I have 2 houses that means I am paying RM220 per month.

Now my problem is I am considering to upgrade to RM140 4MB package. But if I would like to upgrade for both houses I would be paying too much for that. I am staying at House A from morning usually 10am - 7pm and House B from 9pm to the next morning 8am. And I depend on Internet very much and use the internet all the time.

Now I am asking if is it possible to only subscribe one 4MB package and use it on my 2 houses? That mean I upgrade my House A 1MB package to 4MB and cancel my House B 1MB package and use my House A streamyx 4MB ID when I am staying in House B, is it possible?

Any constructive comments and opinions are appreciated. Thanks in advance
