Buying property for investment in 2021

Hi,

I'm currently thinking about buying a property for around 270k that can be rented for around 1.1k. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but if not, would appreciate it if I can be redirected to where to ask. I am a complete newbie, and I'm not too sure what questions I should ask either. Property seems rather dauting to me as there are stamp duty, insurance, property tax, fire insurance(?).

Are properties in Malaysia good investments? Are there any tax advantages for owning a property? Is this a "good time" to buy? What are the "hidden cost"?

Which Router should I pick?

Hi, I am planning to upgrade my router since the original one provided by Times kinda sucks and since they're upgrading the speed. I thought it would be better if I update my router also. Found these 2 that look quite promising and both have good reviews. I have around 8 connected device at all times. Which would be better? The asus is quite a bit more expensive, any reason why?

Nex or 6

I'm thinking of buying a new phone. I'm not sure which one to get. Have seen both and quite okay. Vivo nex has better hardware while Oneplus 6 has better software. I'm upgrading from a Note 5. Phone feeling a lil old. Still bearable but feeling like want something new
😂

Edit. The Vivo also has a significantly bigger battery which I quite like. Problem with making a choice is both is literally same price. (getting midnight black) Which defeats the value aspect of the oneplus 6
Nex
-Futuristic display
-Much bigger battery
-feels more worth imo since other countries the diff is at least 70USD

Oneplus
-Better software(*feels* smoother)
-better design. Feels more premium
-Fingerprint much faster
-6T coming out in 3 months thou

Honda City or Jazz sports hybrid

The city is proven and stable
The Jazz seems promising but has a new dry clutch transmission. So a lot of ppl are skeptical. Also, hybrid cars are typically cause for worry and believed to have higher cost of maintenance

Hi, I'm just curious to know if how's Acer's warranty service in Malaysia. Is it bad? horrible? or at least decent.

How else would u rate other brand's service, such as Msi, Asus and HP

I heard Dell has the best warranty out of so many brands

Edit: Also Lenovo

About Computer Science

Hi all, I'm thinking of starting my CS degree at either Monash or Sunway University. But, I've been seeing a lot of CS degree related topics being made on the forum.
Now, I'm a little worried about my job prospects in the future, will there be too many people with computer science degrees?
Are those degrees a little over saturated right now?
How's the market like now in the IT field?

Laptop for computer science

I'm thinking of getting laptop for uni. I plan to take computer science, so most likely I'll be carrying it around a lot, I have around 7-8k of budget, should I buy a cheap ultrabook like the xiammi mibook air and build a gaming desktop or should I just get a gaming laptop?
I'm kind off siding towards the gaming laptop but portability and heat is an issue, and getting rid of one issue worsens the other, so I would really like some advice, cause from what I heard, computer science won't need really powerful specs to run.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting the new alienware 15 with the gtx1060 and 6700hq with the G sync display.

How does it stack up with the competition such as Asus and MSI. For the price I heard Alienware has the ebst build quality, however it is very heavy.
I don't have a lot of experience with laptops so was wondering if 3.2kg would be too heavy. I won't be moving it arounf too much but I will carry it to college from time to time.

Should I buy a new car or fix my old?

Hi, I currently have a Honda Accord 7th gen which is already 12 years old. In 6 months I've spent about rm6k fixing it and even now some problems still persist. The trade in guy is willing to give 19k for it but after driving the new Hrv and New City, I realized that if we're talking about driving pleasure, my old Accord fairs quite well, if not better than the newer cars. The Hrv was slightly bumpier than I expected. I can definitely afford the City or Hrv but would need to get a 7 year loan for the Hrv if I want it. Due to the rate at which Vehicle's depreciate, I'm wondering if it's worth it for me to buy a new car. Also, buying a car at a year's end is not exactly the most worth it thing to do as a car's age is only determined by the year usually.
So, If you were in my shoe what would you do? Fix and continue to drive the accord till at least next year or buy the Hrv or City?

What car to buy?

I'm a student and I've been deciding on what car to buy, I've browse through many forums. My first choice is proton iriz, I like it overall but I'm still a bit worried about QC issues but for that price it has many things the Honda City has and more. However, a tier up and I can get the Suprima S, which is much bigger and much more high performance, I realised I might not have the need for it but I'm thinking of driving this car for at least 4 years before handing it down to my brother, so it needs to be able to be long lasting. I'm lucky to have my parents paying most of it, but I just want to make sure their money will be well spent. My parents favor the suprima's larger size but are skeptical about it as it is a proton which a relatively higher price tag. Which car is the better buy? Am I missing anything important or any major deals? Is the suprima S much more expensive than the iriz to maintain?

If I could get some advice from people who are more well versed in cars than I am, it'd be great.

Preferabbly <75k & preferably the more popular brands

I just got my spm results with 4A+, 2A, 2A-, 1B and 2C.

Currently I'm thinking of these options for degree:

Inti UOW for computer science twinning programme (Saw online that UOW is really good at computer science and the twinning program allows me to go to Australia whenever I want during year 2 and year 3 of my degree should my budget allow it)

Sunway for computer science (heard from an amount of people that Sunway's computer science is quite good)

Monash (Probably my last option because although it's good, it's very expensive)

If there's any other uni's that are good for computer science please let me know. I heard APU and MMU a lot but I dont really like APU's campus and MMU is rather far away. If MMU is really really good, then I might reconsider but it's just too far away, 50min drive from my home

I was thinking of going to Ausmat in Sunway but everyone kept telling me it's super hard and everyone there is stressed out. So, I thought about going to MUFY but I'm afraid Inti won't accept me for the UOW course if I want to go.(At this point I'm not even sure if the course is good, everyone on the forum keeps talking about finance and commerce there ) A levels will take a longer time so I'm a bit reluctant to go for it. Basically I just feel lost, so if anyone could give me their perspective I would really really appreciate it. Should I just go for Foundation in Science and Teachnology in Sunway, complete the degree in Sunway?

Apologies if the post was longer than it should have been, really not sure how to put how I'm feeling into words.

Thank you so much in advance.

Also, is it possible for me to get scholarships? I don't want to burden my mom so much with my college tuition fees.
