Currently surveying for houses & would like to explore other options

- not too far from KL (around same driving time between Gamuda Garden & KL)
- landed terrace
- has a pet friendly park nearby
- all facilities are nearby (grocery stores & Gamuda Garden has their own gym and swimming pool)
- similar price range, looking for at most RM950K house

How to best Expand my Social Circle?

Hi all,

Not sure what to put for the thread title, but below is a summary of what I want to achieve;

Basically my entire family, relatives, friends & everyone I know in my social circle are all working a usual 9-6 jobs, same goes to myself, I got absolutely no issue with this and in fact I am doing quite well as well and getting promoted / increment often, and can confidently say that I am top achiever in companies I have worked in.

However, my dream life is to drive million dollar sports car & also those insane looking bungalow in those rich taman, in which by working 9-6 only, it is impossible to reach this level.

And since all in my social circle are people like me, and no family member or relatives that are into business or non-9 to 6 as well, and no one I know is exceptionally rich, I do not know how else I can know people that are outside of this circle and expand my knowledge / get out comfort zone of exploring something new, I am sure there are many other jobs / business that are very well paid and not in Job Street / not commonly known to people.

As such, I would like to know, what are some good places I can go to / classes I can attend / things I can do, to know more successful / wealthy people?

Some Inquiries on Buying Tyre

Hi all, wanna ask some questions regarding tyres, as this is my first car and I have never changed any tyres before.

I'm using Axia 2016 AV, till now still using stock tyres.

1- Normally how long do we need to change car tyres in Malaysia? Just normal driving on road, not using it rough etc.

2- If we change, do we change all 4 one shot? or 2 by 2?

3- If let's say 1 tyre is faulty, do we change the 2 tyres at front/back together? or just that one tyre will do?

4- How much will be the price of per tyre for my car?
5- If I buy new tyres from shop, will I get some discount as they will take my old tyres? How much will it usually be per old tyre?

6- What are the recommended brands of tyre for my car?

7- For tyre brands, e.g Michelin, Continental etc., will there be like many series for a car? Or just tell the shop I'm using Axia and prefer which brand then they know which to give?
Like PC DELL laptop there will be Inspiron, G series, XPS etc.

8- How to know which brand is good which is bad? like laptop I can pick easily based on the features, but is there anything special about tyre brands that differentiate them? Anything I should look out for?

9- What are some highly reputable / trusted company that sells tyre in Cheras / Puchong area? Those that will not simply give you marked up prices etc.

10- Anything I should look out for when buying tyres? So that I won't be scammed by tyres seller.

Hi all, I'm looking for a monitor recommendation for my desktop.
Just list down all the absolute cheapest option out there you can think of (of course make sure it is those famous brand Acer BenQ etc. instead of random unknown brand)

- 27" or 32"
- 2560x1440
- 144hz
- Any panel
- All special features are NOT required (G-Sync, FreeSync, HDR, QLED etc.)

Just list down for both 27" and 32", I would like to compare them and see the price / design difference and see whether it suits me or not, thanks all!

Looking for Laptop with Following Specifications

Hi guys, I'm usually doing my edit work at Home Desktop PC, but now I would like to get a laptop so easier to have meeting with clients etc.

Didn't follow up on laptop news for more than 5 years already..no idea which brand is good or bad etc. As such need sifu-sifu recommendations

Looking for laptop with following specifications:

What will I be doing on it:
- VERY heavy Adobe Lightroom usage, 80% of time
- Slight Adobe Photoshop usage, 10% of time
- Slight Gaming usage, 10% of time, for fun only, no need max out graphic

CPU: Intel i7 or Ryzen 7, need as many cores/thread count as possible as I found out that Lightroom is really utilizing this

GPU: doesn't really matter

RAM: 32GB

SSD: 1TB SSD (recommended to have 3GBps R/W)

- Highly recommended to have SD Card Reader
- Highly recommended to have NO dongle(Ethernet/Display etc)
- 144hz good to have (optional)

Just suggest what you think matches the criteria, I will decide whether worth or not after comparing myself, hence no budget mentioned.

Old Online Game : TS Online

Good day,

I am currently looking for this old online game called TS Online (吞食天地）.

I tried to search online and found out that:

- There is a mobile version, but is getting extremely bad review, and I am not keen to play games on phone.
- There is still a version alive, but in Chinese and also online, which is not preferable.

So I am currently searching if anyone has the offline installer for this game?

I know that there are many private servers for this game and many of them are offline, just that I can't find it now due to the how old this game is.

So if anyone knows a good source or even have the installer, do let me know!

I just remembered this game suddenly and would like to play it for nostalgia purpose.

Some Photography Questions

1) How does one select a camera? Like Sony alone releases so many different full frame cameras, how does one decide which is suitable?

a) What are the main key points people look at when picking one from a same series? e.g Sony Full Frame series
b) What are the main feature that have people pick over different brands? Sony, Canon, Nikon

2) I was using Samsung S8 to take pictures all the time before I got my first camera Sony A5100.

I understand that S8 pictures are more saturated than A5100 due to nature of Samsung software, and I can edit RAW pics of A5100 later on for same color as S8, but one thing that I don't understand is:

- Why is it that when shooting on extremely bright day, S8 is able to balance out the foreground and background, showing blue sky as intended and able to see subject clearly the same time, but when using A5100, no matter what settings I set, faster shutter speed(even at max 1/4000), aperture over 5.6+ or even maximum, ISO 100, it still will be either a blown up background if I focus on subject (white sky instead of blue) or if I focus on background, blown up subject (totally black) and good background.

I tried to lower the exposure, but that will just make the whole thing darker instead of specific spot.

How should I go about this?

I need ideas on how to solve this issue.
Not the first time encountering this issue, but the first time I am unable to solve it even after trying every suggestion online.

I have tried every method I can find online and methods I know and still it is showing the same error when I try to install Windows 7 on this PC.

This is the Motherboard in the PC. Every part in the PC is absolutely brand new.
However, Windows 10 is already pre-installed in the PC when it is given to me(the technician installed it just to stress test the PC)

Hi guys I just recently renewed my car insurance from Etiqa website. Do I still need to do anything else after that?
Like will they inform my bank automatically?

Because few days before the expiry, I received a letter saying insurance is going to expire soon

Question about road tax renewal

Hi all, first time renewing road tax. Need some advices.

1) I know that to renew roadtax, I have to renew my insurance first. But how do I know which insurance company I should pick? There are 6 choices in MyEG website.

2) Should I continue using the same company I first got my insurance from? I recently got a letter from Allianz regarding my car's insurance.
2a) Do I get any benefit from continue using the same insurance company every year?

3) How do I know how much I should pay for insurance every year?

4) Do I still need car's geran in order to renew if I go to post office/JPJ to renew? Or my IC is enough?

5) Does post office provide insurance renewal? Or solely roadtax renewal?
