MAHB current career condition

Hello guys.

I will be starting my career as Senior Execx in Engineering Dept. at MAHB (under KLIA Aeropolis).

I would like to ask whether anyone here had been working (or currently work) with MAHB. What are the good and the bad career development in term of career, stress, office politicing and worklife balance?

I've read reviews from Jobstreet, and most MAHB former employees stated that there are pro in worklife balance, but the office politic and dealing with superior will be a tough challenge.

While Indeed's review stated otherwise i.e executive(and Assistance Manager) need to chasing deadlines, working over the weekend and the only benefit given to you is medical bemefits. Reviews in Indeed also stated that the turnover rate is very high due to above.

Anyone here who already work with MAHB before, particulalrly KLiA Aeropiolice site, hope uou guys can share your experience .

Do I Need To Pay Compensation?

Hello guys,

I would like to ask question pertaining to the Notice Period.

I have worked at my current workplace for 6 months at Penang and recently I got new offer at Selangor where it will give me better prospect in term of salary and work life balance.

During the interview, I have stated that my notice period is 1 month despite I have worked with the current company for 6 months and already exceeded the probation duration.

The reason I said that is because when I checked my Appointment Letter from the current company I worked, I noticed the following :

-In the Termination Clause, the confirmed staff need to give 3 months notice period when resigning while staff under probation only require to give 1 month notice period. Just like that only. I could not find any written statement that if confirmed staff left the company with less than 3 months notice period, he is subjected to pay compensation for the balance of day/month of the notice period.

-Regarding my confirmation status, the Appointment Letter from my current company stated that the Probation Period is 3 months. However after 3 months, I have not received any written letter from the HR whether I have confirmed or not. I called my manager and he only said verbally that the confirmation is automatic after 3 months. Though, I could not find any written statement in my current Appointment Letter that I will be automatically confirmed.

So, I would like to ask opinion from you guys whether can I sent 1 month notice period without worrying that the current company will take action on me (ie to pay compensation) because I've still need another 2 months to serve them. My reason was as per stated above which is there are no written statement stated that I need to pay them compensation for less that 3 months notice period and I have not receive any written confirmation letter which make me still under probation and eligible to sent only 1 month notice period?

Hi all,

I happen to have a Saville Test coming up soon as one of the interview stage for one of the public liswted company at Klang Valley.

Before I take the test, I would like to know if anyone of you who previously happen to stumble upon this test during your interview process. What kind of question usually they would featured? Was it hard and how hard is the question? What is the passing range?

I heard from my friends who work at that company, told me that many of the candidate failed the test, even one of their best candidate who have a master degree also failed the test and unsuccessful in securing the job at the company.

Based on the topic above, to summary, I will leave the company that I worked for 9 years this july due to unforseen prospect. Now my boss knew that I'm still gonna leave the company soon, he threw a lot of ad hocs and shits works to me. I suspect he wanted to make me leave with shits so that my reputation here will be bad when leaving the company.

Not only that, he threatening me saying that he has a lot of connections in the manager/boss level at other companies in the related industry and will say bad things about me to his connection if just in case I happened to apply for corporate works in the future and coincidently at his connection's company, where his connection definitley will call him to ask about myself.

I dunno why he keep giving me ad hocs and additional works since it was supposed to be a hand over period until my last day so that the colleague whom I handed over the works will transfers the works easily to my replacement.

I suspect that he wanted to make me as a scape goat if the department couldnt manage to achieve kpi for this year. He will definitetly bring my name to the board and make my resignation as an excuses for all the undelivery tasks, which will make my reputation at the job market become bad image.

I've saw his tactic before with my ex-colleagues who resigned before me. All of them become a scapegoat and use as a reason not achieving KPIs so that he would be safe. Although some of them manage to find better opportunity, I heard few also find it hard to land new job until successfully securing a job since my boss tarnished their image due to the boss at the interviewed company called him for reference (yeah he do have a lot connections).

Should I worry and follow his play or just finish the works within the effort that I could reach until the last day?

Any advise from/k?

I would like you guys to hear my story and advise me.

Few weeks ago I've tendered my resignation for 1 months due to I've seen no prospect at all to stay at the current company after almost a decade working here. I have yet to secure new job but I will be helping family business and doing some part time jobs to cover the expenses and commitments in case I have not yet gotten any new offer after these 1 months.

The story goes like this. This morning, I received called by one of the top management in the company for a meeting on a face to face session on this Friday. The agenda is for him to know the clear reason for my decision. I am suspecting them persuade me to stay and there might be a counter offer due to my past achievements which assisted the company to reach their target revenue including the responsible that handled is quite crucial and will take long time if wanted to handed over to a protege. However, I have to say that even if they raise my salary to double, it still not reaching the salary market rate for my age now (already 37). Tbh, I have no regrets if I left the company even without any counter offer and my purely intention is to leave peacefully without any bad impression and bad image.

Its true that the responsibility and tasks that I did somehow important for the company and I have also contributed a lot for the company, but then everytime every year they always making ridicilous excuse not giving any salary adjustment and promotion to me such as revenue not reaching target, limitation of staff to be promoted on that year and so on, although I have reached my individual kpi score. Due to that, my salary already way behind market and not suit with my age where else my friends from other dept already reached salary rate RM8k-RM11k and some of them got promoted twice throughout my period working here. Sad thing is my job responsible keep increasing but the salary rate and my grade still retain as it is every year.

But, what if during the meeting this friday, they offers the higher salary that meet my expectation and amount is tempting. Should I accept it and just forget of what they did to me over these past ten years or should I reject it and gave them a lesson that they need to appreciate the staff by rewarding them accordingly (promotions, salary raise) when they achieve the company's goal, not until they frustated and forced to make a decision to resign?

Help me to make decision. FYI, my background is engineering.

Should I put the SPM result in resume/CV or not?

Hello guys.

I am currently looking for a new job, where it has been 4 months doing it and I had already sent 30+ applications via jobstreets, linkedin and direct email. But so far, I havent receive any interview calling at all. I have put up a lot of info and details to convince the recuiter to hire me, such as my past experiences, achievements, skills and knowledge. But among the info, of course we would also put our academic qualification in resume.

But I have a situation here. My degree and diploma grade was quite good (both are second upper), however my SPM result agak hancur (only 1 A though, others only so-so, where Physic and Chemistry subjects almost fail).

Although my spm result not so good, I somehow manage to climb back and obtained good cgpa during diploma when I studied at private college, subsequently manage to get accepted when applied for degree at public university using my diploma grade and achieved good grade as well.

So I think, I should not put my SPM results in the cv because it kinda spoiled the cv since my spm result not reallly doing well. But how about the recuiter. Do the recruiters need to see our spm result as well for a executive level position and above eventhough we already put our degree/dip as our highest education in the CV?

How is your working hour during Ramadhan?

During Ramadhan month, my office will be close early 1 hour.

Usual working hour is 8.30am till 5.30pm

Working hour during Ramadhan is 8.30am till 4.30pm

Reason being is for staff to go home early to prepare for break fast meal.

But this only apply to muslim staff.

How r your guys working hour during Ramadhan?
