So I am working in some sales-related position.

Today boss walk in to our office and hand out 1 expensive designer bag to each of our supervisors (each group got 2 supervisor, we have 7 groups). Clearly every body very excited and think the boss so nice and generous to give such an expensive present.

But it got me thinking, if the boss can afford such expensive gifts for his employees then it means he's very rich. Who's making him rich? Us salespeople who are working day and night for mini pay 6 days a week. After some quick calculations, we employees are roughly bringing home only 25% of the sales that we closed. So for example, say we earn the company 10k, we only earn 2.5k at the end of the month.

It's very hard to be motivated when you think about it. Everyone seems so happy and excited, but I just gloomy. Am I being a spoil sport?

Need advice on switching jobs

Hi guys, would appreciate if you could give me some advice here

I'm currently working for a recruitment agency in Singapore (with employment pass) already almost a month but I feel miserable working here because originally they told me it's 8am to 6pm work with people leaving at 8pm due to work culture (no OT pay). So I didn't really like the idea but thought it's still okay because I can go back home after 8pm and still have 3 to 4 hours to do my stuff. Turns out we're frequently working 8am to 11.30pm with no OT pay because this is sales based they say the more you do the more you earn

I am applying for other jobs now, jobs that offer 9-5 fixed office hours even with lower pay I don't mind. I value work-life balance a lot. Problem is I'm only 1 month into my 1 year employment pass, will this deter other employers from employing me in any way? will it be difficult for them to apply for another work pass for me if I jumpshipped too fast?

everyday I feel worse working here. I don't get to see the sun often (it's an office based job). We eat lunch in the office and we don't even have a proper dinner most of the days. Please help me buddies
