Astro Indoor

I live in an apartment where there is central dish which only displays SD channels and I have Astro Byond PVR.
I live on the top floor and quite a number of windows in my room and there are no tall buildings around. Can I just place my Astro dish near the windor and hope it catches the signal? And if it doesn't, what sort of a booster should I buy? Please help

Newly installed Windows 8, no internet

I need help, BADLY I recently had a fresh installation of Win 8 Pro done. And before installing I had internet connection via streamyx but now I don't. I have never ever have useda network to connect to the Net. Only thing that connects me to the internet is my modem, the phone line and the ethernet cable. But now, it shows I am on a network. And when I create a new connection, it shows that I am connected to multiple networks, like in the image below. Please help me. Again, layout is simple. Basic streamyx layout. Computer connected to modem via ethernet cable, modem connected to phone line. Last time could connect. Now it shows network. Help please.
