Who wants QuickPlay direct on their Compaq v3000 ?

So who wants QuickPlay direct on their v3000 series?
QP direct is QP without having to boot up windows.

There are 2 versions; 1.x and 2.x
1.x is based on linux and will run without any windows install.
2.x is based on xp embedded and will only run along-side a windows install.

I been to the HP carecenter on Penang to get it installed,
but their engineers failed to install it due to limitations put in by HP.
The installation CD's check your BIOS or model number.
And *only* install on North-American models.
This in my eyes is discrimination, why only 2 countries in the world get QP direct on their v3000 series notebook ?
I've emailed and called a lot with HP to get this cleared up and get straight answers but i havent gotten any.
I've got a vague "maybe in the future it will be supported" answer.
We need a BIOS upgrade or QP direct installation CD that install on the non-North-American v3000 series.

The HP carecenter engineers confirmed that *all* v3000 models support QP direct.
It is the HP installation CD and/or our v3000 bios that blocks the installation.
I sugest everybody that cares and wants to get the same as North-American customers,
to contact HP and tell them about this issue, tell them you want QP direct just like North-Americans get.

Why should'nt we get QP direct too? Our notebools support it.
Its HP being stingy and weird not allowing the install CD to run properly.
Demand a BIOS upgrade and/or set of QP direct installation CDs.
They wont do anythign with just one person (me) complaining and nagging them.
*IF* all v3000 series owners aroudn the world would even send 1 email to HP they might fix this.

I thinks its unfair and discrimination to only allow Candianians and Americans to run QP direct on their v3000.
We have the same notebooks, and we get less for what we pay HP.
Speaking of paying, the prices in North-America are even cheaper for the v3000 than here.
I wonder who's paying for their cheap laptops.

Call HP, email HP US/CA, nag them, complain to them, make them get fed with this and release an updated QP direct install or BIOS upgrade.
Together we can get it done, given you want to run QP direct anyways.
I didnt got much response to my other posts/rants about this issue.
So maybe nobody here wants or cares about having QP direct.
I for one, would like to have it tho, it saves battery time.
And not having to boot into windows also saves boot-up time.
Lets do this people
