Accident Insurance

I got into an accident this morning at MRR2. A kapcai bang the back of my car causing some serious damage to the back and also the passenger side.

After I assessed my car situation and took some photo of the incident, I confront the kapcai rider and checked his situation. He got few bruised here and there. No serious injuries.

I then proceed to Tun HS Lee traffic police station to lodge a report together with the rider since his bike cant move already. Once i reached the station, we filled up some form and then wait for our turn to lodge the report. While waiting for my turn, i was on the phone with my insurance company to ask for some info and explained the accident to them. After I hang up the call, I noticed the fxxxing knn rider has already cabut from the police station. I then proceed to make a police report and etc.

The police officer told me, most probably the rider dont have valid licence or whatever since he decided to cabut. The problem now is, if that knn rider dont have insurance, I will need to proceed to claim Own Damage according to my insurance. What more irritating is that my 55% NCD which is about RM600 will be gone if i do so.

So, can anyone here advise me whether i should just proceed with OD claim or how.

Delay aging at the cellular level

Every day, the cells in your body are replicating. The same process that develops a single egg into a human being is occurring constantly to renew your skin, hair, blood cells, and some internal organs.

On-going cell replication

If you think back to biology class, a cell replicates in two phases. During its first step, interphase, the cell gathers nutrients and begins to duplicate the DNA inside its nucleus. Then the cell splits into two, the mitosis phase. This very process is how you grow as a child. Even when we’re fully developed, cells continue to split. However, by the time we’re adults, our cells begin to show some wear and tear.

It’s sort of like using a copy machine. Your first copy of the original is sharp and clear. But if you continue to copy what comes out of the machine, the original image begins to deteriorate. The same principle applies to the DNA in our cells.

The role of telomeres

The ends of DNA strands are called “telomeres.” These telomeres are like protective caps on our genes, containing the essential chromosome information inside. Each time a cell replicates, a portion of the telomere wears away. This shortened telomere is duplicated during the next cell division, and becomes shorter again. Once a telomere has effectively worn away, the cell has reached “old age” and loses its ability to divide.

DNA repair

Nutritional scientists have made breakthrough results in slowing this aging process by targeting cells during interphase.
