If company withdraw job offer if got diabetes

Hi I recently accepted an offer from a company, but was told that I would need to go for a pre employment medical test. However, I have diabetes, but I cant remember if I declared it in the application form. I did tell the hiring manager upfront that I have diabetes, however, and she said just be upfront with HR. It's an SME with a regional presence.

Now the thing is, I am on medication and my diabetes is strictly controlled. It won't show up on a blood test, but it will show up on a Urine FEME because I am taking medication that will secrete glucose into my urine (empagliflozin). I am otherwise healthy, no HBP, excellent cholesterol levels, but I am obese (BMI >40). I do exercise and watch my diet.

Diabetes just runs in my family, I unfortunately got it early. The job is a managerial role, white collar - nothing to do with laborious work and would not have any effect on my ability to carry out my job (save maybe for taking 2 days off yearly for medical appointments, and even so, I would get an MC). I am planning to speak to HR to be upfront about the diabetes though, but in the worst case scenario they still reject me, is it grounds for discrimination?

Anyone went through this before?

Flat white default paint in new condos

Hi, Ive just moved out of a place I rented and the landlord wants me to paint over the human occupant stain areas (dark browning spots on walls). But the thing is, the apartment was never really painted over and came with the default white finishing developers use for most condos. It's white, and comes off chalky, not exactly good quality paint. If I were to paint over these marks, what kind of paint should I be buying?

This is what happened:

1. I tried using their PBe app to log in. It rejected/hanged for like a gazillion times.
2. Suddenly told me I was locked out because I have exceeded my login attempts.

Fine. No worries, I told myself. I can go call them to reactivate, right?

3. Tells me this:

Access Deactivated
You have exceeded the maximum permitted number of retries for PBe login. Your User ID has been automatically blocked by the system. Please proceed to any Public Bank ATM or branch to have a new User ID and Password issued.

4. Tried calling their FUCKING SHIT line since yesterday. Been trying for more than 24 hours actually.

All I get are two beeps.

Tried with all the phones I could get (about 4-5).

Tried using these phones to call each other's phones.

Working fine.

Their fucking phone line seems to not exist.

5. Looked at the back of my credit card.

"For lost or stolen card, please call (603)2179 5000"

THE SAME FUCKING NUMBER.

Hi, I just moved to my new residence, but my developer has appointed a 3rd party company to manage the internet here. And when I say it's a monopoly, it really is a monopoly with fucking ridiculous pricing.

I work nearby my area and it's also covered under this developer.

Now, I have no problems with the area, but I am super pissed off with the internet monopoly.

They force residents to sign up for their 24- month contract for ONLY 10Mbps (that's the highest stupid speed they have) for RM 12X. If you want the 12-month contract, you have to pay a whooping RM 21X.

Like, im not even kidding.

And the best thing is, because I work nearby here, I KNOW how crappy the internet is. The connection is always dropping and the speeds are super slow. Almost everyday my office has to complain to the internet people.

My office has an RM 10k router, which should suffice for about 20-30 people, but still, the speed is slower than my grandmother riding a bike.

Mind you, this WHOLE area is MSC-status area yeah? But internet only 10MBps and they strong arm you into using their internet because you have literally no choice but to use that. Unifi and others cannot supply you lines here.

So I REFUSE to be forced to sign up to this tyranny. It's fucking ridiculous and patently unfair. Fuck them hard with a spiny cactus.

Anyway, my question is:

What is the best alternative I have at the moment? I have already put in request to TIME to provide at my area. I'm not banking on them, honestly, because they won't be able to provide internet just for 1 person.

So I'm looking at 4G/MiFi/Portable broadbands.

I am a heavy gamer (i play dota a lot) and I need my connection to be stable and fast.

Is the Digi 4G LTE plan good? 20GB quota + 30GB off peak for RM 145.

My budget is around there also.

Commuting from Shah Alam to PJ daily

Hi all, thanks for reading.

I need your advice.

My husband and I currently stay in PJ and work here. However, I was offered a job with better prospects in Shah Alam.

We are currently renting a place in a condo in PJ.

I would like to move to shah alam but my husband is not too keen on commuting with traffic daily.

He starts work in PJ at 10 am, office is near Jalan Templer. I understand that, from SA, you need to take Federal all the way right? Does anyone know if the Federal highway will be jammed at the Jalan Templer/Jalan 222 intersection between 9.50 am to 10 am? He can be late up to 30 mins.

Can you guys advise what is the best way for us to compromise?

Will the federal be very jam? How long will the commute from Shah Alan (lets say from I city) take to Jalan Templer if we move there?

I don't drive and I don't have a car yet. So I rely on the KTM. Currently I carpool with hubby to work but if we move to SA, it will be super easy for me as I can take bus/cab/ to work and study there at the same time as the uni i am looking at is also in Shah Alam.

Is it worth it to pack and move to SA? Rent is very cheap there too, so that's a plus point. What should we do?

One alt I considered is moving to subang/sunway and taking KTM to shah alam. Would this method be superior? Or should hubby just brave the traffic?

What roads and tolls work to reduce driving stress and jam for him?

We both start work at 10 am.

We have no elderly parents around, no kids. Just us and our 2 cats.

Some say better to stay in PJ and travel to SA. IF you have ANY personal experiences about living in Shah Alam and working in PJ and whether this is VIABLE in the long run (taking into account costs of rental and petrol and traffic), I thank you for it in advance and hope you can share your knowledge.

Otherwise, if anyone has ANY constructive or experienced knowledge in renting property close to ANY KTM in PJ that lies on the PORT KLANG line, please also do share your experience of commuting via KTM from condo.
