Is it a waste not to pursue engineering career?

I'm a supply chain management trainee now but my family told me since I have first class MEng might as well continue to have a career in engineering. Sure there are considerations like money (I hear supply chain pays better) but in terms of satisfaction, I know I have excellent educations and skills in engineering. So confused about my career... Anyone gone through something similar?

I got First class undergraduate masters degree. Now doing a management trainee in Supply Chain division. What about my future prospects in comparison to a professional engineering career? I would like to know if I have made the right choice in veering off my planned career path.

According to my resources (Google and their corporate website ) they involve themselves in a lot of pre-production work. There more to it than that I'm sure but I'm just curious as to how it feels like to work in EDAG.
