Phone suggestion For My Mom

Hello everyone..

I want to buy my Mom a new phone as she legit needs one.

The budget is maxed at 700 RM. She was thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016, but as I searched around and got more information.. I realized that maybe that's not the BEST option out there due to the lack of some features..
For example the absence of a notification LED which is an important thing we want to have.. Or even the lack of a gyroscope.

Now I need your suggestions.. Give me good options within that budget..
But the device has to be either a Samsung, a Huawei or a Sony Ericsson. (Google/Nexus too? If possible?).
Oppo was an option too.. But idk when I tried one on display it felt laggy.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Main important points here are the speed and smoothness of processes. I don't want the device to lag every now and then after installing a couple apps. The camera has to be of good quality. Something that would make mom happy when she takes pics. The J3's seemed good enough. And there has to be a notification LED too.

I want her to have something that will make her glad and proud to own

Help me out guys... All suggestions are highly appreciated. Give me names and ideas so I could use your advice and run down to the store and finally get my Mom a phone.. knowing that, by your help, I'm getting the best possible option out there.
