[GUIDE] How to DeBloat Your TV

Debloat Your Android TV with Antigravity: Complete Guide

This guide shows how to remove ads and bloatware from an Android TV or Google TV and install a clean Apple TV-style home screen, using Google Antigravity on a Windows laptop and the open-source cleanyourtv project. Nothing is uninstalled and everything can be restored.
Example used in this guide: Xiaomi Mi TV (MiTV-MOOQ0), Windows 11 laptop with Ryzen 5 5500U and 20 GB RAM.
Time needed: about 20 minutes for the debloat itself, plus installing the tools.

Before you start
•	Your TV must run Android TV or Google TV. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs do not work. Fire TV only gets the debloat half.
•	The laptop and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
•	Note your TV's model name and IP address (TV: Settings → Network).
•	Download installers only from official sites: antigravity.google/download, python.org, git-scm.com and developer.android.com/studio.

Part 1: Install the software on your laptop
1.	Power on the laptop and log in to Windows.
2.	Download and run each installer below, one by one.

#	Installer
1	Antigravity-x64.exe - Click Next repeatedly until it finishes. Open it and sign in with your Gmail account.
2	python-3.15.1-amd64.exe - On the first screen, tick Add Python to PATH, then continue.
3	Git-2.56.0.2-64-bit.exe - Click Next repeatedly until it finishes.
4	android-studio-rabbit1-windows.exe - Click Next repeatedly, accept the license, then click Finish.
Make sure all four are installed before moving on.

Part 2: Prepare your TV
Unlock Developer Options (first time only)
1.	Go to Settings (gear icon, top right).
2.	Select Device Preferences (on some models, System).
3.	Select About.
4.	Scroll down to Android TV OS build (or Build).
5.	Press OK on your remote 7 times in a row until you see "You are now a developer!"
6.	Go back to Settings → Device Preferences → Developer options.
7.	Turn on USB debugging. If you also see Network debugging or ADB debugging, turn that on too.
8.	Keep the TV switched on.
Some TVs cut power to their USB ports while USB debugging is on, so a USB drive or speaker plugged into the TV may stop working until you switch debugging off again.

Part 3: Open Antigravity
Run antigravity.exe. The chat box is at the bottom of the window and says "Ask anything, @ to mention, / for actions".

Part 4: Download the project (clone the repo)
1.	In the chat box, type this command without quotation marks:
“git clone https://github.com/Gathin23/cleanyourtv.git”
2.	Press Enter.
3.	Wait until you see: "The repository has been successfully cloned to c:/Users/Admin/Downloads/cleanyourtv".

Part 5: Run the debloat on your TV
In the same chat box, paste this prompt without quotation marks. Replace the folder, model and IP with your own, and edit the list of apps to keep:
“execute to my tv. C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\cleanyourtv. model tv is Mitv-mooq0. ip is 192.168.1.117. refer to prompt.md when u run it. Don't remove play store, miracast, fx explorer, kodi, wifi file explorer pro, ott tv, unifi tv, disney+, smarttube, reezn, browser app”

Press Enter. The prompt does four things:
•	Points Antigravity to the cloned folder so it reuses the project's tools.
•	Gives it your TV model and IP address.
•	Tells it to follow the steps in PROMPT.md.
•	Protects the apps you want to keep.

Part 6: How long it takes and what to do while waiting
The debloat takes about 20 minutes. Please be patient.
•	Do not turn off the laptop or let it sleep. Set power settings to "Never sleep" if needed.
•	Do not unplug or switch off the TV, even if the screen goes black or restarts.
•	Keep the laptop and TV on the same Wi-Fi the whole time.
•	Do not close Antigravity until you see the success message.
•	Stay nearby. Every time Antigravity asks a question, press Enter to allow it.
•	When "Allow USB debugging?" appears on the TV, tick Always allow and select OK.
•	Read any question that mentions the remote, keyboard, Bluetooth, HDMI or input menu before you press Enter. Those must not be disabled.
•	You will be asked which four apps go in the dock of the new home screen, so decide beforehand.
Antigravity first backs up your settings, then disables packages in small batches (for example, 34 packages in 6 batches): telemetry, promo ads, background cleaners, preloaded unused apps and duplicate media players.

Part 7: The TV turns off or reboots
This is normal. Wait for it to come back.
If the laptop screen shows "Trying to reconnect to ADB" and it keeps repeating, the TV has switched off. Turn it back on with the remote as usual. Antigravity will reconnect and continue.

Part 8: How to know it's finished
Wait for a message like:
The clean TV setup has been successfully applied to your Xiaomi Mi TV (MiTV-MOOQ0) at 192.168.1.117 in strict accordance with PROMPT.md.

Part 9: After it finishes
1.	Check the home screen. Press Home and confirm the new Apple TV-style launcher appears.
2.	Test the remote buttons. Press Home, Settings, Input and the app shortcut buttons once each.
3.	Test your apps. Open each app you kept and check that it still works.
4.	Turn off debugging. Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Developer options and switch off USB debugging and Network debugging. The launcher keeps working without it. Antigravity should do this and reboot the TV, but check it yourself so your network is not left open.
5.	Keep the restore script and backup. They are in C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\cleanyourtv. Do not delete them.

[GUIDE] Block social media with OpenWRT

Hi,
I’ve just successfully implemented a social media blocking mechanism using OpenWrt installed on a MERCUSYS MR70X router. You can use any router as long as it supports OpenWrt.

Most of the current routers with stock firmware that I’ve surveyed on the market have parental control features, but they don’t allow you to block specific social media services using multiple schedules within the same day.

For example, I want to:
Block: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Allow: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Block: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Allow: After 10:00 PM

Some routers may support multiple schedules, but the schedule usually applies to blocking the entire Internet. That is not what I want.

My setup:
•	Router: MERCUSYS MR70X v1.2/US (stock firmware v1.1.0)
•	OpenWrt: v25.12.2

I’ll skip the guide on how to flash the OpenWrt factory.bin file into the MR70X because the process is quite straightforward using the Firmware Upgrade option in the stock UI.
Now, here’s the guide on how to block social media.

1. Log in to the router as root
Log in to the OpenWrt router using the LuCI web interface with the root account.

2. Create an IP Set
Go to: Network > Firewall > IP Sets > Add
Configure it as follows:
•	Name: block_media
•	Family: IPv4
•	Leave the other settings unchanged.
•	Click Save and then Save & Apply.

3. Add the social media FQDNs
Go to: Network > DNS > IP Sets > Add
Configure it as follows:
•	Name of the set: block_media
•	FQDN: Enter the FQDNs/domains for the social media services you want to block.
For example, you can add the required FQDNs for Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
You can also use ChatGPT to help identify the relevant FQDNs/domains for each service.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

tiktok.com
tiktokv.com
tiktokcdn.com
ttlivecdn.com
byteoversea.net
ttwstatic.com
youtube.com
youtube.be
ytimg.com
googlevideo.com
youtubei.googleapis.com
ibyteimg.com
tiktokcdn-eu.com
tiktokcdn-us.com
tiktokglobalshopv.com
byteoversea.com
tiktokv.eu
tiktokv.us
tiktok-minis.com
facebook.com
instagram.com
cdninstagram.com

•	Leave the other settings unchanged
•	Click Save and then Save & Apply.
Repeat the above steps for each social media service you want to block.

4. Create the firewall traffic rule
Go to: Network > Firewall > Traffic Rules > Add
Under General Settings, configure:
•	Name: Block_Media_Afternoon
•	Protocol: Any
•	Source zone: LAN
•	Destination zone: WAN

Then go to Advanced Settings:
•	Use ipset: block_media
•	Leave the other settings unchanged.
•	click Save and then Save & Apply.

Next, go to Time Restrictions and set your desired blocking schedule.

For example, you can configure the rule to block social media during the afternoon while allowing access during other times.
If you have additional schedules, click Clone and modify the days and time according to your requirements.
Finally, click Save and then Save & Apply.
Reboot the router.

That’s it. The firewall rule will block the IP addresses resolved from the FQDNs in the block_media IP set according to the schedule you configured.

Note:
I’m using this setup on a secondary router because I don’t want to affect the configuration or normal usage of my primary router.
Primary router:
•	Used by normal household devices
•	IP address: 192.168.1.10
Secondary router:
•	Used only by my kid's devices
•	WAN IP: 192.168.1.20
•	LAN IP: 192.168.2.10
Setting up a secondary router is quite easy.
I simply bought a cheap second-hand router that supports OpenWrt (list of supported router) and configured it as the secondary router.
How to connect the two routers
Use a LAN cable: Primary router LAN port → Secondary router WAN port
So, connect one end of the LAN cable to any LAN port on the primary router, then connect the other end to the WAN port on the secondary router.
With this setup, devices connected to the primary router will continue to work normally, while the devices connected to the secondary OpenWrt router will be subject to the social media blocking rules.

Hope above helps...
