[WTA] Airport Extreme + Maxis Home Fibre

Does anyone successfully setup an Airport Extreme Base Station with Maxis Home Fibre?

I have a few questions here. The Thomson router Maxis provided is really lousy and the WiFi signal is very weak. I would like to replace it with Airport Extreme or any other workarounds can make my WiFi signal performs better with Airport Extreme.

Normal Maxis Home Fibre Setup:
Huawei HG655a (Modem) -> Thomson router (PPPoE, WiFi & DHCP)

Can we actually replace Thomson router with Airport Extreme, and configure the Modem to make things work?
Huawei HG655a (Modem) -> Airport Extreme (PPPoE, WiFi & DHCP)?

Use Thomson router as a bridge?
Huawei HG655a (Modem) -> Thomson router(PPPoE) -> Airport Extreme(WiFi & DHCP)

It would be nice if you can share your current configuration / setup here.

RAM: DDR2 2GB Ram
GPU: ATI Radeon X1650 Series

As you can see. My current PC spec hardly support for most of the new games released recently, eg. Diablo3, GW2, DotA2, etc...

So I'm planning to upgrade my rig or should I make things easy just build a totally new one?

I would like to hear some of your suggestion, should I just upgrade from my current spec to save some money or better to build a new one (budget 2.5-3k? without monitor)

It would be great if you can recommend me the new specs in details~
