Windows freeze after opening too many IE.

Hi all,

I'm having problem with acer notebook, at least I have tested this problem exist in 2 acer notebook (aspire 5570 and 5920 gemstone).

I'm testing a problem that exist in Acer 5570 whereby the UI of the windows got problem after opening so many IE windows or programs, causing the UI to somehow start to freeze, can't right click on IE page, the IE menu got some item missing, etc. (my 5570 using XP Pro SP2)

In my gemstone 5920, I stress test it by opening an IE7, then go to google, then I press CTRL+N (opening new window) up to more than 45 windows (between 45 - 50). And the problem starts to happened. I can't right click on the google page on IE7, then the IE menu got some item missing (or screwed up), and if I continue to open new window, at the end the whole windows UI is freeze, I cant click on anything although my mouse pointer still can move.

I have inquiry into acer club forum, and someone else owned gemstone also did hit the same problem. But I have not yet try it out in other brand notebook.

The question is whether:
1. The IE cause this problem. Because I tried this using firefox, opening up to 80 new windows, it did not happened.
2. Acer notebook is really that unstable because I remember when I'm using old toshiba model with centrino and IE6, I never experience this kind of problem before.

Thanks.
