[WTS] Honor 3C Lite Original Transparent Casing

1. Any comments or suggestions, you may PM me politely, please don't spam on the thread.

2. For COD, buyer need to deposit 10% amount of the item value to avoid FFK, it will be refund if the deal is cancel under both party agreement and it will be non-refundable if buyer FFK.

3. When COD, buyer will have time to inspect the item's condition, once buyer paid, it consider buyer agree with the item condition and there will no dispute afterward.

4. For postage, buyer need to bank in full amount+deliver fee in advance, then only the items will be sent through courier service and tracking number will be provided.

4.1 The items will be packed in correct packaging method to prevent any damage during deliver, a picture of the package will be taken before the parcel is sent, this is to ensure the items is in the condition as stated in thread. However any damage/missing during delivery, please claim the damage/missing from the courier company, I'm not responsible for any damage/missing during delivery.

4.2 For the items which are shipped through normal post / snail mail, buyer will need to bear the risk of item lost, any damage/missing during delivery, please claim the damage/missing from the courier company.

4.3 If the item was shipped during the eve of weekend (e.g. Friday), please do consider that the courier company may / may not shipped the item during weekend, please counted the waiting day following working day (not calender day)

4.4 It is out of seller control to promise when the item will be arrived, it is subject to the courier company standard, if you need the item urgent, please chose your preferable courier company by paying extra for it (e.g. DHL, UPS, etc)

5. Items that's still under warranty are to be claimed by buyer themselves from the respective distributor or retailer at their own cost.

6. Items that do not carry any shop warranty, unless specified, or else by default it will be given 2 days standard personal warranty (Counted from the day buyer received the item). Personal warranty excluding wear & tear, self damage,e.g.
-Physical damage, burn mark.
-Spoilt due to overclocking.
-Incorrect BIOS/Firmware flashing causing unusable.
-Buyer usage problem,e.g. overlimit usage,etc.

7. In order to claim personal warranty, buyer need to provide detail information on how the item spoilt, under which kind of situation and it must be reasonable, or else the warranty will be voided.

8. For items that are eligible for personal warranty, full amount of the value will be refunded once buyer sent the item back to seller, buyer and seller share the deliver fee evenly and the included items must be complete, or else warranty voided.

9. Do ask me directly if you have any doubts.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 3 Weeks ago
Problem frequency: 2nd time
Problem description: No dial tone, but ADSL line on

1st incident (1 year+ ago):
No dial tone, call 100, two electrician came without entering house and concluded is internal wiring problem, and they mentioned Telekom is not in charge for "internal wiring problem", however they can provide their service by extra charge paid to them. I don't accept and call 100 again to complain them, without come into my house and concluded is internal wiring problem, sound fishy.

After complain again to 100, another electrician came and check, do some checking at the pole, and voila, line work, problem solved.

2nd incident (2 weeks ago):
No dial tone, ADSL line on, call 100. 1 electrician came and do some brief check, and again, mentioned is "internal wiring" problem again, same reason given, and this time this fellow even dare to ask for RM200 to fix the "internal wiring" problem. Due to this time, my mum handle with the person, I called back again and ask the root cause of the internal wiring, is the issue related to socket/wire break/copper de-oxide/etc? No proper explanation given, just mentioned that need to change all internal wiring of my house and if I don't want him to "help", I can get my personal contractor to do.

Call 100 again, request another electrician to double confirm whether is internal wiring problem or not, being told that the previous electrician report stated "internal wiring" and they won't sent other electrician to check. Give me a contractor number, called and waited 1 weeks, no one come and fix.

Went to telekom shop and request for assistance, pushed away to call 100 and give the same contractor number.

Help needed:

1. How do we confirm "internal wiring" problem?

2. I plan to change the cable (Red one, shown in above diagram) from the TM socket (outside my house, which link to TM pole) to my phone socket, it is just roughly 200 meters, may I know which type of cable is it?

3. Can I get those extension cable that we can purchase from shop and connect it to the TM socket (outside my house, which link to TM pole) and test it with my phone?

4. Any idea how to troubleshoot this kind of problem?

Since nowadays, the price of notebook hard disk (HDD) is getting cheaper and the price is even nearest to USB Thumbdrive, a lot of peoples had bought or planing to get a 2.5" notebook HDD+ext casing to used as removable storage device, I had searched through all the other thread, seem like there is no one discuss about it yet , so i just open a thread for discussion, hopefully those user who planing to get / or already got can give some feedback on it and take it as a references. Thanks.

For those who are going to get a new 2.5" HDD+external casing combo, here are some issues that we need to know before we get it:

1st issues to be considered --> Pricing

After we look at the pricing, we can easily categories three range of user, which are budget, mainstream and extreme.
Normally for the combination that they are going to take most likely will be:

- 160GB+unbranded ext casing : RM210+RM15 = RM235

Mainstream:

Extreme:

2nd issues to be considered --> Ext 2.5" HDD vs Thumbdrive
As most of us are aiming for portable storage, is it worth for our $$$ to self configure an external 2.5" HDD compare with just get a thumbdrive?

- High capacity, minimum 80GB, whereas thumbdrive the largest size on market which is just only 8GB.
-- 80GB+unbranded ext casing : RM160+RM15 = RM175, RM2.20 per gig
-- 120GB+unbranded ext casing : RM175+RM15 = RM190, RM1.6 per gig
-- 8GB thumbdrive = RM100, RM12.5 per gig.
- High transfer rate for 2.5" HDD, esp for eSATA connection, 1.5 Gb/s to 3.0 Gb/s.
- Cool, especially you pair with a nice design full aluminum casing

Cons:
- 2.5" HDD is non-flash memory, meaning that it is still using spindle to read the disc, so it is highly sensitive and fragile, easy data loss, whereas for thumbdrive, it is more durable for normal user daily torture (throw here and there, some even drop it into washing machine and still survive.)
- Size of 2.5" HDD is bulky compare with thumbdrive (But this can prevent us to lost it / accidentally misplace it to wrong place)
- Need used up 2 USB port compare with thumbdrive only using one USB port.

Different user with different need will be easily categorized them either to get a thumbdrive or an external 2.5" HDD+casing. But for those who just so happened that they are going to get a portable storage device, they need to spent some time to crack their head to figure out which is more suitable to their current and future needs.

3rd issues to be considered --> Brand/Quality
After getting know our budget and settle down our mind, now is time to chose the best combination for 2.5" HDD and a suitable external casing.

Here are some of the important point to think about it:

How many rpm? 4200 or 5400?
Which brand/model is low power consume?
Which brand/model is less heat produce?
Which type of 2.5" HDD going to get? normal notebook HDD or SATA HDD?
Which brand/model of HDD is able to sustain the user "torture" e.g. extra vibration? water proof ?

For external 2.5" HDD casing:
Which is capable to release the heat efficiently?
Which is capable to provide a fast Read/Write speed?
Which is build with good quality? durable? solid?
Which interface for output? USB? eSATA?
What kind of Chipset of external HDD casing is more stable on transferring data?
Which is provide more accessory in their package, e.g. pouch, external power cord/cable?
Which is the coolest and worth to get?

So now I need some HELP from:

1.Those who are going to get an external 2.5" HDD + casing:
- can you please share with us what combination(brand+model) are you going to get?
- reason?

2. Those who already got their 2.5" HDD + casing:
- Can you kindly please share with us the feedback of your combination? Recommendation?
- Can you attached a print screen of any benchmark result(e.g. si-soft sandra), so that we can compile a lists to get more information on which is better?
- Any photo?
- Where did you got it from? Price?
