Buy NEW but 2011 made or current 2012 batch car

SA offering rm5k discount for new buy but 2011 made fiesta, while if wan NEW current made batch would only get rm2k discount.
So the question here is, how do i know the car is newly made in 2012 but not the long stored in warehouse's new car???
Because i've approached some friends involved in fields related with car, they said even though you choose the new batch car, the parts or may be even the cars have been stored in warehouse for months and usually around half year long =.=...so they was saying that 2011 made NEW car with rm5k discount is worthy.
But...isn't the car will only be tag for the date of manufactured once they finished and land on the floor???? So, how true was my friends' info???
So, i'm confused and hope any sifu2 know more about it could enlightened me, and also looking forward for advises which deal to choose.....tqvvvvm ^^

i really do not like these name, and it simply play a big part to keep me away from proton -.-.....

why cant they use cooler name like reventon/gallardo/civic/camry or just some code like a4/c200/r8/xkr ???

ok la be frank there are some name from proton sounds good, such like perdana and neo, and its just only these 2 name sounds good to me.....the new concept cars' name (tuah/lekir/lekiu/wateva) really makes me vomit !
