40, male here. Stable job, stable and good income, dated before but no sexual experience. Not a moral stance. it’s just how life unfolded.

Lately I get labeled “immature” because my mindset is pretty youthful.

With women closer to my age (mid-30s to mid-40s), things often feel complicated—everyone’s carrying history and sometimes it drifts into a transactional vibe.

With women a bit younger (mid-20s to mid-30s), I’ve noticed early career success can come with quick character judgments.

With women in their early 20s, I actually find it easier to connect. It’s not about “taking advantage”, I’m looking for a long-term, committed relationship. Being older makes me want to show up steady, respectful, and protective so we can build something simple and good.

Is this just me? Do I need to present myself differently? Any tips from people who’ve navigated:

Being 40+ with no sexual history

Getting misread as “immature” when you’re just upbeat/young-at-heart

Bridging different life stages without it feeling transactional

Posting this partly because modern dating is absurdly funny

i am currently working in an MNC in Malaysia, salary about RM 7.7k per month
i have 6 years experience in an engineering field, in term of qualification, i have B.Eng (Hons), MBA, Professional Engineer registered under BEM

i was offered a job opportunity at UK who is my counterpart. we worked together for about 1 year, we know each other quite well.

salary after deduct the tax is not so attractive, about 2.4k Pounds only, approximately double of what i got now.
but in term of life quality, workload, professional development, it is totally unbeatable.
i am 30 years old this year, single, therefore i am flexible.

please share you view. but please, serious advise and talk only.

i got some budget from my company to treat my customer buka puasa.

my customers are a group of 8 people in the same company.

how do i arrange it? normally they prefer to back home to buka puasa with family.
and for Malay, during puasa month, go back at 430pm.

how do i arrange that? if 1-2 people, then i can just go their place, but for a group of 8 people, how??

dear all,

A headhunter contacted me last week, ask me if i am interest to work in a MNC company, global leader in my field. if i interested, they will submit my resume.

i agreed, so they proceed with it. and this week he arrange me for the interview.

the interview go fine, and the interviewer quite ok with me. after the interview, i called the headhunter, he told me his client quite happy with me also, and he said he want to meet me also.

He didn't mention what the meet is all about.

well, what is the normal procedure in dealing with the headhunter?
do i have to pay them if i got the job? as from my understanding, the headhunter work for the company, which the hiring company would pay them, not the candidate, right? they are different from job agent, who charge fees to candidate.

am i correct??

dear all, please read my case below, and advise me what to do.

i stay in a low cost 5-storey-apartment. each unit has a assigned parking lot (unit number written on the parking lot). i dont know who write those unit number, but as i know, my apartment has no management at all, so total helpless in this parking issue. it is a low-cost-apartment, but people still have second car. they tend to park their second car everywhere, as long as other still can get out.

before cny, someone park behind my car (old type, 3-year-old proton saga only), which the space is so close. it is impossible to reverse my car out. to my stupid, i keep trying and finally scratched the car (car A - Honda CRV) parking beside me. well, it is my fault, i leave my contact and note on car A. car A, contacted me the next day, and i apologized and paid for the repair cost RM180 (i know this is reasonable price for repair). happy ending, although i hurt my wallet seriously.

just now around 11pm, another car (Car B - old very old proton saga) again park behind my car. this time, i tried reverse, i knew it is very hard to get out. i horn until the car owner come out. the car owner is so unhappy, saying i annoy everyone sleep. WTF! you block my car and still scold me.

i pleased him: "please do not to park behind me, it is impossible to get out."
he replied: "i leave enough space for me to get out, it is my technique fail to reverse out."
i said: "yes, my technique is terrible, please do not park behind me. i cannot get out"
he replied: "why i never complaint other car park behind me, just complain his. i purposely attack him"
i said: "no, whoever park behind me, i leave message to it."
he said: "this is low cost apartment, you cannot expect people leave big space for you."
i replied: "you can park anywhere as long as do not block people out. i already scratched Car A before and have to pay RM180 for its repair. i really scare liao."
he said: "i know. it is my brother's car!"
.............................(long argument after that)

at the end, i pleased him to at least leave his phone number on wind screen at least if he block my car, so that i can call him. i saw someone stand behind him silently, but in dark, i could not 100% sure if he is the brother.

well, WTF!! feel really bullied by this neighbor. just feel: are they purposely park a old old car behind me to block me, and want me to repeat that again, and i will have to pay the repair!!??? even if they are not, this is really terrible!

*i tried not to have a case here, so i really patient to him and pleased him do not park behind me only. my life is too busy (busy working+part time master study), cant afford to spend time to argue with these people. so i really try my best to tolerance to avoid unnecessary trouble.

now, i just hope he would not park behind me again, but as can see above conversation, he is a bit insane. however, from last time experience when i deal with his brother (honda CRV), his brother is reasonable guy, (quote me reasonable repair price too, give me receipt after repair).

please advise what should i do??

i never learn any self defense, which i think it is very important nowadays.
i wish to learn self defense such as taekwondo, wushu..... purely for self defense knowledge and also for exercise & fitness too

what you think for a 27 years old adult to learn these skill? i think those taekwondo class mostly for children and teenage only.. got any for adult one ar?

hi all.

my desktop spec as below:
windows xp sp3
pentium 4 2.66Ghz
intel 915gev board
1.5GB ram
40GB, 1.5TB hdd
normal P/S2 Key board and mouse

i just formated my computer last week, and i found my "backspace" key giving me trouble..
everytime i press it (to delete wrong type words), it automatically switch to "folder windows"
but if i turn off all the "folder windows", it work fine. "backspace" work fine and can delete wrong typing.

folder windows= window that showing your file, such as my computer, my document...

please advise how to fix this ya??
