New guitar with uneven frets

Asking here because I don't know the norm

Bought new acoustic guitar online since the store didn't have in stock and only on order basis.
The guitar arrived this week. On inspection I found 2nd fret and 14th fret bit higher than the rest causing a bit of buzzing.
Asked the store about it, they just recommend me to put saddle shim underneath saddle to raise everything - it doesn't quite solve it.

Is this something that I have to get it fixed or should be covered by the store since its new?

Hi.

I have few question regarding the acoustic guitar. Just playing for hobby.

1. How do you take care of the strings in malaysian climate? I'm talking about the 2 last strings, they always become rusty / not fun to use after a week. Did cleaning the strings and use string oil, doesn't seem to do much.
2. Where to go to try guitar? I'm interested to try one of those hybrid nylon string guitar with thinner neck.
3. I like the sound from silk & steel strings, but it's rather too squeaky. Any string that sounds the same but less squeak?

How to recover from knee and ankle pain?

Hi people,

Seeking for your experiences on how to recover from knee and ankle injury from running. I know that I have to rest these joints, but it feels like it's taking too long to recover I feel bit scared.

Bit of background, I'm just half or 1kg overweight mid 30s. I run for health, no serious target or anything. Usually 30 minutes in the evening every 2-3 days while waiting for evening rush traffic to clear. Started this habit feb this year.
I might have pushed it bit too much for me when I try to run with faster pace last month. It has been like 3 weeks now with this pain.
It wasn't that painful in the beginning - just dull pain in front of knee and upper knee when I really strain it, so I try casual walk around taman, to my surprise it became worse lol. Now my left ankle is all stiffed up.

And what other exercise I can do in the evening that doesn't involve walking?

What would be the good reason to get married?

Hi people. I hope this question doesn't sounds too weird.

What would be the good reason to get married? I'm looking at my nearest family members, it seems like they're just placing a never ending commitment on themselves.

I don't have anyone to ask this without them being weirded out. They were like, why are you even asking this.

You see, I met this person at work. When I see her, the first thing come to mind is how it would be nice to have this person around my life. I don't get butterflies in my stomach, it's just I think we might be happier together. I have never thought it is necessary to find a soulmate before. I'm quite content being single while most my friends already on their 3rd or 4th kid.

Why KDEB don't want to pick my garbage

Hi, for people live under KDEB waste management area, is there a specific criteria what garbage they will take and what they won't touch?

I have a collection of large cardboard boxes from online shopping, bundled them together in neat large plastic bag, but the garbage truck won't take it.
It have been 3 weeks, the boxes become heavy soaking in rain water and the plastic bag disintegrated from the sun. Now has become a complete mess.

As far as I understand, the regular garbage truck only take organic food wastes. This, so far they have no problem as they picked my organic garbage bin clean.
But when it comes to inorganic waste, its always hit or miss so far.

Need help choosing office chair for back pain

Hi people.

Need suggestion for good chair. Didn't have the time to drive to test one by one chair.

I have chronic back pain. The only time I won't hurt my back sitting is when I sit in my old proton persona front seat. It have solid lumbar support, holding all my back including shoulders, really deep seat and the way my legs slightly raised from the seat takes away all the pressure of sitting away from my spine.

Already bought one of ergonomic chair from SPACE, now I sit reclined at 110 degree angle on the chair, trying to get that driving posture on my desk. It takes away a lot of the back pain from using the standard issue office chair, say, maybe like 70%, but it still hurting a bit as the lumbar support doesn't quite do the job well and the 110 degree is a bit too much of a recline.

Currently I'm eyeing maybe a Haworth Zody or Steelcase Leap v2. Also, I don't know if I should buy new or get used/refurbished/renewed unit as I notice there are quite a lot of sellers in the market for used branded office chair.

Would love to hear how you guys finally found the perfect chair for you. Also if you know any chair that feels similar as the old persona front seat, let me know.

LRT Ara Damansara Parking

I'm planning to use the LRT Ara Damansara for daily commute to potential new workplace, but can't find anything much about their park n ride facility. On google map also don't see the parking, which I think it's in the basement level?

And is the station parking always full or a lot of vacant parking even on mondays?

JnT Parcel Insurance

Hi, anyone had experience with JnT insurance claim for missing parcel?

I'm having a bad feeling about one of my parcel that I send out. It should be next day delivery but there was no update after leaving original destination.

By bad feelings, I mean I send out 2 parcel to one receiver. One parcel of lower value reached the destination, while the considerably expensive one has gone quiet.

I bought insurance coverage for the parcel of course. Just asking here preparing for the worst.

Have no reason to keep on going

What do you do when you positively have no reason(s) to keep on going?

Tried to busy and distract myself with work, that doesn't seem to be working. It just makes me hate myself.

Currently having quite bad anxiety, dreading going to work. Which is pretty weird because just a month ago I felt so alive and work didn't bothered me. I have already tendered my resignation notice probably in hope of to get rid of this anxiety and/or because I don't see the point to put myself doing long hours of work for no real benefit that I can think of. Really tempted to simply ghost the office.

I am seeing the doctor, was prescribed seroquel. Appointment is still one week away. Asking the internet for any real life advice because I don't have anyone to talk to who understand. Heck, I don't even understand what is going on with me.

Probation Period Ended with No Confirmation Status

Hi people. I finished the probation period at the company I'm working at. The contract that I signed few months ago basically ended last week I think. Now every morning I still go to the office like usual, but I have no official work contract.

Talked to my boss about this, they said they're working on the confirmation contract. By the looks of things, it seems like the pay after I get confirmation status is less than what I expected.

The problem now is that the upper management have no exact date when they will call me to the HR office to discuss things. And I'm itching to leave.

Do I still have to give them 2 weeks notice before leaving now that the contract has ended? And I'm wondering if the day when HR finally decided to ask me to come to their office and I don't sign the confirmation contract, does that mean I'm no longer working there?

Burnout from work

Hi K. How do you handle the effect from work burnout?

I'm finally feeling the effect from working 60 hours per week after 7 months. Feeling quite numb and really tired right now. I don't even know why I still wake up in the morning and drive to work. Almost fall asleep behind the wheel driving to work. This week I cried at the office and I don't know why.

The only thing in my head at moment is how I should hand in my resignation notice, dreaming of uninterrupted afternoon nap to wash away all the fatigue. I'm struggling with depression for years before this,, still do and I'm thinking that maybe I should go back and pay a visit to the doctors too. Maybe this job isn't just for me. I don't have anyone close to talk about this and I'm not sure how my coworkers can keep it together after years doing in this job.

The pay with overtime included aren't worth much. But money is the least of my concern. I can do my job quite okay, I can manage the stress and tolerate some inconveniences. It's just this extremely draining feeling that I can't deal with. I have lost interest in most things. I want to feel something again and enjoy simple things, like watching a movie. Now on my off days, all I do is just sleep.

Question about KWSP

Today is 16th May, I checked KWSP account and I'm no seeing any amount credited into my KWSP account. Do I just have a case to file against my previous employer? Can I make an aduan?

Bit of background story: Resigned from a job last month (April) with a month notice. Worked until last day. Had to pester the HR for the whole week just to beg for my final payslip. They still have not paid me for my overtime work done in the last 2 week, but I already got the HR to say in writing that my overtime pay will have to wait until the next payroll cycle.

I'm wondering if the KWSP caruman is the same for worker who have resigned?

How long should I wait for unpaid wages?

I resigned from a company after 1 month notice. They still got some unpaid wages after my last day because the manager fails to sign some paperwork in time.

How long should I wait before I consider taking appropriate actions?

And any advice how I should talk to the manager and HR about this issue? since I'm effectively no longer an employee.

Accepting Job Offer Without Signing Anything

Hi. So I got a job offer last week. They emailed me the offer, asking me to reply if I confirm accept the offer by Monday. I will sign the employment contract next month because I have to give 1 month notice to my current employer.

At the same time, I have another job interview this coming Tuesday.

Can I just accept the current job offer from the 1st company now and then ghost/give excuse/say sorry to the 1st company if the 2nd company turns out to have better offer? That is, if I ever get an offer from 2nd company after the interview.

Hi. How do I politely ask recruiters to send me an email or send me a message instead of calling?

I sent a bunch of job applications online and a lot of time, the recruiters always call me at times when I least expect someone would call me.

They talk fast and I can barely catch the most important part: from what company and for what position.

Is it even okay to ask them to send a message?

Got compounded by KKM

Hi, I got compounded by KKM for providing breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Got 2 officers came to my house back in November. Took larvae sample in the flush tank in one of my toilet that has been unused for quite some time.

2 months later, one days before CNY holiday got a compound letter hand delivered by pejabat kesihatan gombak officer.

The larvae back in November was not aedes. But I have to pay compound because I provided a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

How should I proceed with this compound? Said here "tawaran ini sah dalam tempoh 14 hari", have to pay RM500. I'm not quite sure which part of the compound is the tawaran.

Question about MRT

Hi all. I haven't ride MRT for many years now.

Today when planning my commute, I noticed that the MRT line from Sg Buloh never go to the other way towards Kwasa Damansara as in the picture above.

Is this a bug or the MRT now only travel one way? Quite confused.

Hi. I live in Majlis Perbandaran Selayang area. What is the best way to make a complain to MPS for dog problem?

One stray dog has caused too many problem. Whenever she noticed my gate is open she enter inside to poop on my front porch, and took my shoe with her. So far I'm missing 3 shoes already.

I didn't do anything to her to cause her bothering me this much. The worst I could think is that I cleaned my neighbor's garbage, put it inside the garbage bin, because it seems that the stray dog particularly loves my neighbors garbage. My neighbor doesn't like to put their garbage inside the bin for some reason.

Hi all. Need to visit Hospital Serdang this week. Parking looked like it will be a problem. MAEPS shuttle bus no longer in service.

Today I saw KKM post about majlis penyerahan pusat kardiologi serdang attended by KJ. So the car park can use now? I went on Sunday it looked like nobody park there. Got road barrier everywhere.
