Sabah snubs partial lifting of MCO

SABAH will not implement Putrajaya’s conditional movement-control order, said Shafie Apdal, making it the third state not to restart industries from tomorrow.

The decision is to stop the spread of Covid 19 in the state and to protect the people, the chief minister said in a brief statement.

PETALING JAYA: Kedah, Sabah and Sarawak have decided not to follow the Federal Government’s move to relax the movement control order (MCO), which includes allowing most businesses to reopen with conditions.

Selangor and Negri Sembilan have said they would restrict the number of businesses when operations resume on Monday (May 4).

Penang said it would implement the conditional MCO “in three phases” starting May 4. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow that although it is necessary to restart the economy in the state, it cannot take the risk to completely loosen the MCO.

"The state is preparing the guidelines from May 4 to May 8, further updates will be given soon after.

"The next phase will be from May 9 to May 12 and then May 13," he said in a live press conference on social media on Sunday.

Pahang too said it would be maintaining the status quo on the MCO for now. Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said although the state government supported the Prime Minister's announcement on the conditional MCO, the details still had to be worked out specifically for Pahang.

"The Pahang government has to study and fine-tune it to match the current state of the Covid-19 outbreak in Pahang.

"This will be discussed further in the state security working committee's weekly meeting on May 8," he said in a statement Sunday (May 3).

KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 — Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia must have a blueprint for navigating life with Covid-19 before the Health Ministry could safely recommend ending the movement control order.

The Health director-general also said active Covid-19 infections must have been brought down further before this could happen.

When asked if today’s new low of 69 cases meant Malaysia has successfully contained the local Covid-19 outbreak, he said it appeared so but needed further evidence to be sure.

“What is important is if we are looking at ending the MCO, we must have an exit strategy, and among our indicators is the reduction in cases that are still being treated, which is the number of cases still able to infect others or still with a high level of infectiousness.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry had already procured the test kits from South Korean firm, SD Biosensor, and was hoping they could arrive by next week.

“We have been testing several antigen test kits, and the good news is that the ones by SD Biosensor have a sensitivity rate of 84.4% and specificity rate of 100%.

“With the antigen rapid test kit, testing can be done at point of care. That means you do not need to send the swab test samples to our 43 labs to get the results.

Thank you so much for the patience and understanding you have displayed during this most regrettable situation. For myself and on behalf of aromachong nick, please do accept my wholehearted apologies for the "WTS-Phone" tribulation where i was outsmart/fraud by my runaway supplier.

As per the refund term agreed and had been updated in the dispute corner. I undertake to repay all of them to my best aptness.

I sincerely hope everyone especially victims involved in this situation perceived my predicament and exonerate me.

recently when i try to load youtube .. and when i try to click backward and it's like reload a new one....

like previously, its saved in some storage and when u click backward it does not take time to load a fresh new 1...

any tips?
