I notice many of you worship the Samsung NU8000 and I found that the new RU8000 can get for below RM4k now. Just wondering if there's any better option than the RU8000. There's also TCL 65P8M which I'm being offered at RM3.2k (on Shopee is RM3888) which I dunno if it's a good deal or not.

I can't seem to find anything in depth on this so I hope there are people here who have experience with this. Not urgent or life and death situation. Just wanna see how good it is compared to Razer Surround. Installing/Configuration already out...

I can't seem to get it work on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit lappy.

Specs:

Proc: Intel Core i7 2630QM
RAM: 8GB
Audio: IDT HD Audio

The rest shouldn't matter right?

I have Razer Surround installed and it works flawlessly but I don't like it syncing the configuration with my other Rigs. I have tried uninstalling Razer Surround, updated/reinstalled my IDT audio driver, and then only install Viper4Windows and still no effect.

I hope nobody will ask me to get a hardware DAC. If I'd do that I wouldn't be posting this on software thread.

So I accidentally over-stretched the cable and broke 1 of the cable and managed to dismantle it up to this level but cnt go any further.

I have a UPS stated in topic but I can't seem to be able to make it work as described. When plugged into PC, it is detected but WinPower software can't seem to recognize it. Can't find any additional steps in the manual. I just wanna configure it to auto shutdown when battery hit a certain % left.

Anybody with experience configuring UPS here?

Win7 Upgrade Key

Situation:

1) I have a lappy with preloaded Win7 Home Premium and a recovery partition probably also Win7 Home Premium.

2) I bought a Win7 Pro upgrade kit that only has a "Windows Anytime Upgrade" key.

Question:

1) If I have to reinstall Win7 Pro on my lappy, can I just use an "OEM Win7 Pro" installer? If I can, which key do I use to activate?

2) If I can't use the above step, does that mean I have to use the recovery partition and install the Original Win7 Home Premium and reupgrade using the Upgrade key?

3) When we use the Upgrade key, does that converts our Win7 Home Premium key to Win7 Pro?

Installing Froyo on Maxis' Desire

WARNING: Only do this if you do not wish to root ur phone anytime soon. ~~There is no way to root a phone on FroYo with Hboot v0.92 yet at this post point of time~~. And your apps and data in root will be gone as well. Do not proceed if u do not know what is what.

There is a way to downgrade your hboot to 0.80 now.

For those who confuse with the official Desire thread I decide to come up with what I did to install FroYo on my Maxis Desire. And for those who think AP > Maxis, you are not exactly right. The hardware are basically more or less the same, only the ROM is different which can be changed.

Before installing the following, you will need a gold card.

For those who have build 1.21.XXX or older, download and install this:

This link is a standard World Wide English ROM which do not have Asian or US English locales. Most likely to be used on retail sets.

~~At this point, I not sure whether~~ According KTCY, you will need a gold card for this ROM installation. After making the gold card, just double click this installer and follow the instructions. U might need to get the bootloader driver if you don't have it. And yes this should be a fool-proof installation as no Shell commands will be needed in the process. Just click a few stuff only.

After installing this ROM, your <insert provider> HTC Desire/Bravo will have the same ROM as any retail set. After that, just connect your phone to WiFi or 3G whichever u prefer and then:

1) press the "menu" button
2) press "settings"
3) drag the menu to the bottom and press "About Phone"
4) press "System software updates".
5) press "Check now" at the bottom of the screen
6) download and install the update.

In the event that your phone shows "No new updates available", try this:

Notes:
*This should get rid of the status 7 error but to bear in mind that you will have a UNROOTED FroYo DESIRE with Hboot 0.92.
*RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.19.707.6_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_rel_124362.exe is an Asian Locale ROM and cannot be upgraded to FroYo ATM.

Due to the fact that the above RUU ROM is international, no default APN settings are configured on them. Only official ROMs from your respective service provider will have the APN settings.

I just recently encounter this phenomenon and google result lead me to different scenario. Anybody experienced in Windows "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel in Windows XP SP3 the Internet Explorer 7 or 8 and Service Pack 3 there's no remove button?

It didn't even appear in Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

Recently while eating with my colleague... dunno how suddenly we were talking bout his relationship wif his gf... his gf is a law student... currently pursuing master in law studies... she's a pretty tough character gal and from a rich family as described by him... my colleague is not so rich... ok ok only... 2-3k monthly income... dunno 25 or 26 years old...

so suddenly we were talking bout wat is his plan for this coming christmas... he said probably gonna go out wif frenz or something which he usually do every year... den i ask him y not spend time wif gf... he say his gf probably gonna makan wif family... he dowan to join... "fai si"... from wat he explain to me... i think tat he not confident in the relationship and scared his gf parents look down on him...
