Hi all,

I'm currently makan gaji with 2k/month basic. But i got this job to buy PC set for a company. But the company don't want to do Cash Before Delivery.

The total cost of the thing that i need to buy is RM12k/-

Can anyone suggest me place to lend in short period of time, maybe a week, with not so big interest? I'm looking for 6-8%. bigger than that is just not worth it.

Because i already have confirmed PO. So, sure the money will return.

Hi all,

Today, 20/2/18, age 24, I decided to save some money for my future.

I will not disclose where i work or my real name or anything specific. But I do however will be brutally honest with my salary and spending so you get to know where my money is going.

I feel like i need to make this thread to invite you guys with me in my financial freedom journey and maybe help me with my decisions in the future.

A little background of myself.

I'm a 24 y/o male with basic salary RM 2,300. But after deducting this epf and socso, add incentive i will be left with RM 2,220 (on average ) I have been working for well over a year now and i never save a single cents. Every cents i got from my salary, i spent it on unnecessary shit and too much food/entertainment.

At a point that I went on Lazada to find things to buy with the money i have, I realize that I NEED TO STOP

here is the detail of my spending,

Mom - RM 100
Digi bill, Spotify - RM 101.
Coway - RM 125
Car Fuel Weekly RM 50 - RM 200
Wifi and bills - RM 100

Everytime i receive my salary, i will pay all this commitment first. So no deduction. Except if one day i move out, my commitment may be higher.

Groceries - RM 200 (normally. Shop at Hero Market)
Cigarettes - RM 450 (winston light 1 pack a day)
"Sayur" - RM 100

Balance RM 824 (approx) - unrecorded expenses which includes foods, drinks, entertainment.

So here's my plan,

I will be taking ASB financing from CIMB for RM 100K.
BR+1.3%
Approximately RM 570/month.

FundSuperMart Unit Trust Funds
Affin Hwang Equity Funds = Initial investment RM 200 (NAV at the time of purchase 20/2/18, 0.5663 . Minus 1% FSM fee = 350 Unit hold) (AHEF)
PMB Shariah Growth Fund = Initial Investment RM 200 (NAV at the time of purchase 20/2/18, 1.6309 . Minus 1% FSM fee = 121 Unit hold) (PSGF)

I will be using Value Averaging technique for AHEF and Dollar Cost Averaging technique for PSGF.
For every incremental RM 100 for PSGF, I will invest to the same value of incremental on AHEF.

So that's the plan now. I will update this post every time I receive my salary and if i change anything to my investment.

hey guys, im going to write quite a story here. so, please bear with my grammar mistakes and all. btw, if im posting in a wrong section, please guide me where to.

ok, here is the story. recently, like 3 month ago, i bought a very simple cpu to replace my broken notebook. here is the spec,

Intel Duo Core E2140
Intel Original HSF
Gigabyte Socket 775 Motherboard
2GB DDR2 Ram
160GB HDD
230 watt PSU.

after purchase, i added my notebook 500GB harddisk. its all running fine. i never use my pc for gaming. mainly for work and movie.

last week, i was introduced to DOTA 2 (i know, i know. im so late). so, i decided to upgrade my rig. so, here comes the questions.

1) i want to add another 1TB HDD to my rig. can it support ? (Movie full already. hehe)

2) i want to add Zotac 9500GT 1gb DDR2 which require 350 Watt PSU minimum. and im considering between iCute ATX-450W/P4 450W PSU 20+4pin Twin Fan, or Cooler Master PSU Extreme Power Plus 390W. which one should i choose ?

3) should i upgade my processor too ?

I am happy with the phone generaly and the OS.
What I am not happy at all is the recurring crash / freeze.

i bought my L820 month ago. second hand with price of RM400. sure sounds cheap to me because this "pakcik" is buying a new phone. i grab the chance an buy it. the deal was ftf. everything seems fine. no problem. maybe im not staying for long to see the problem happening. lets be positive aight.

first day, everything seems fine. phone running with windows 8. at night, i was so tak tahan and update my phone tu dev prev 8.1.
and BAM ! my phone froze for first time. i think maybe because the hardware still not get used with the new os. so, i let it happened. waiting for update.

first update - still same.
sec updated - same.
third update - fricking same.

i think maybe the battery was defective. so i bought new battery for RM 60. nothing's change. the freeze screen still recurring. i hate my phone now. if this freeze screen only happens once a day, maybe still boleh tahan. but no, it happens whenever i used the phone more than 20 minits w/o wifi. i do soft reset (vol up+power btn) every time it occur. once its happened, its going to repeat the freeze state at least 3-4 times until the battery runs out. and i have to do the soft reset everytime.

what makes me curious is, the freeze screen seems not happening when connected to charger or on strong wifi connection.

sigh. please, anyone, who knows the problem. please tell me how to fix this.

p/s: sorry for the bad english. im so noob.

[WTA] keyboard not working on boot

so regarding topic, here is the story.

i have one notebook (acer aspire one). the screen cracked and i decide to use desktop.
recently, i bought seconhand desktop (Windows XP, Intel Duo Core E2140 , Intel Original HSF, Gigabyte Socket 775 Motherboard, 2GB DDR2 Ram, 160GB HDD).
i decided to use my old sata(500gb) which have ubuntu installed. i add as secondary driver.
at first, it boot to ubuntu because i cant change boot menu because i cant use my keyboard on boot screen.
its okay for me because i can change the boot order on ubuntu using sudo. i managed changed my boot order to windows 7 (which is on my second hard disk).
then after windows 7 already boot, i shutdown and unplugged my 160HDD. after load, everything works fine except the screen resolution. i godeh the os a little and i don't know what im thinking, i deleted partition for ubuntu (where my boot order is sequenced using Grub).
i restarted my pc, then it stated ,

"cant load OS, restart Grub"

only then i remember my Grub is in ubuntu which i deleted before. i was kinda lost my mind a little for a moment there. then i remembered i got windows XP on my 160HDD. i plugged it back and my desktop recognized it. im using winXP until now. i dont like XP, i prefer win7.

my win7 is there on my second HDD. i just cant change the boot order to go there because i cant use my keyboard. i was thinking to install ubuntu again but whats the point if i cant use my keyboard on boot order.

so, how to make my desktop detect my keyboard on startup and access boot order ??
