Mixed rice near KLCC?

Hello serious K.

I am looking for mixed rice/zap fan shop near and around KLCC area. There is plenty of food to have for lunch & dinner in the area i'm sure.
But sometimes you can't beat the good old zap fan, because got pork.

That being said, i'm sure there is plenty around KLCC area. However i am looking for clean looking place.
I do understand that what looks clean is only the shop front. What horrors lies in the kitchen or behind the shop, i don't know.

I found some clean looking places like 2 in 1 F&B chain or the S one one F&B chain. Taste wise, i would say it agrees with me.

Any suggestions K?

Are roaches a fact of life in KL high rises?

As someone moving from a landed property to a rented unit in a high rise building in KL for work, i noticed that roaches (especially fully adult roaches ) will appear no matter how clean i keep my unit.

Is this true for all high rise buildings in KL or am i unlucky in choosing my unit? Peope living in KL, please advise.

I've recently moved to KL. Being new here, i still don't quite know where everything is. I'm planning on meal prepping during the weekends for lunch and dinners on weekdays to shed some extra kilos.

I'm looking for:-

Mince chicken - i've seen some frozen minced chicken for sale in stores like Giant or Tesco, but the fat content is quite high. So i'm looking for mince chicken made from chicken breast or chicken fillets, doesn't matter if its fresh or frozen. Can't afford the super premium stuff either.

Mince beef - Same as the chicken. Seen frozen mince beef but fat content was high. Can't really afford the aussie beefs too.

I pretty much am restricted to public transport in kl. So anywhere accessible with lrt,mrt,ktm,brt will be fine.

Back in the late 80s and very early 90s when i was in primary and secondary school. There will always be that one person in class (normally amoi) with a catalogue for mail order items (normally junk) like bookmarks, bracelets and other useless stuff that we little kids thought was cool. The catalogue would be pass around class and the serial number of items interested would be recorded. The shipping fee would be shared equal amongst everyone buying something.

My question to a fellow /k unker. What was it called again? Got any drillz of said catalogue?

Hello LYN,

I was trawling mudah.my in the early AMs last night and i came upon an AD selling new GTX 1070 Gaming G1 for Rm 1199. Which is not there anymore today.

I contacted the guy through whatsapp, and he was friendly and answered all my questions. Stating that the goods will be sent out from SG and its cheap because they got it in bulk at wholesale price from the manufacturer.

He even has a website that he tells me its under maintenance (https://minitelects.com/index.php?route=common/home). His Maybank account name does has his websites name in it. The sellers contact is Zero 14 Nine 35 One 370.

So im here asking the veterans on this noble forum. Is it a scam? Normally if it sounds too good to be true it normally is.
