Help: Karaoke & Home Theatre AV room setup

Hi,

I am new to AV world, so need help from guru here.

I need to setup a AV room for both Karaoke & Home Theater purposes with budget of 6k on AV equipment (excluding TV). Room size is about 11ft x 15ft.

I heard that we need separate system for the purpose of Karaoke & Home Theater, is this true?

With the budget I have, intend to go for the following:

PIONEER HTP-RS7 HOME THEATER
1 UNIT PIONEER DV-410 DVD PLAYER
1 UNIT PIONEER VSX-818 DTS/AC3 AV RECEIVER
1 SET PIONEER RS-3 SPEAKERS
(5 X SPEAKER 1 X POWERED SUBWOOFER)

AND

BMB DAR-100 Karaoke System Package
1 Unit BMB DAR-100 Digital AV Amplifier
1 Unit BMB CSR-100 Speaker System
2 Unit BMB NK-388 Microphone

Any suggestion?
