What motivates you to lose weight

Hi everyone,

Can you share what motivates you to lose weight?
Especially those struggle with obesity and overweight.

As for me, it was Covid-19. I read somewhere that someone in very young age like 34&36 years old die due to covid-19. At first I was like, okay, new virus and maybe the virus is too dangerous since it kills a lot of people. Then my good friend told me that, he knows the victim and show me the picture. He said the victim has history of high blood pressure and diabetes as well as high cholesterol. That is went the reality hit me.

I vow to avoid all the chronic disease as Im not ready to leave this world and the only way is to lose some weight, improve my lifestyle and eat all good food. However, all chaos during MCO, SOP, restricted travelling here and there distract me from losing weight.
Working as special front liner(not in Medical), those 68 days of PKP, PKPB and all keep me busy.

I work till 2-3am, waking up at 6am, skip meals and eat a lot during midnight after I went home at 12-2am. Finally I gain 5kg even though Im moving a lot during that time.
Plus extra stress dealing with various organization, lack of sleep and no exercise and then I was shocked when I weighed myself before raya(22/5/2020). So I decided from that date, That is enough. Lose my extra weight and no excuse!

I always working and I realised this is the best time for me to take care of myself. I went back to my hometown and decided to start my journey after raya. Three times I almost quit but reading a lot of of motivational stories keep me on the track.

It is not easy to start something, to get rid some of your favourite food but I believe that I can do it and all those sweat and tears along my weight loss journey will award me a good reward 5-6 months later,hopefully.

On 30/5/2020, I start my weight loss journey. On 10/7/2020, I lost 7kg and keep losing until now. It was like 200gm-600gm per day and I have a long way to go up until december; I plan to reward myself on my birthday with the New ME. I apply to work from home for three months since I work like crazy during MCO and luckily it was approved. So I will use all three months until september to work hard on my weight loss plan.

I hope for those struggle and still lost or feels demotivated in their journey, can share their motivation and who knows, we might find some strength and keep supporting each other😁

Hi guys,

I need a help on how to link multiple column data in excel to generate QR code. Im successfully generating QR code for one column data, but when I want to make column B until G appear in one QR code, it generating multiple QR code for each column.

Eg.
Name
Id
Score
Term
Total

I want all data in single QR code
But what I get is 5 QR code with individual data for name, id, score, term and total.
Please help me for education stuff. Much thanks🙇🏻‍♀️Any advice is truly appreciated🙇🏻‍♀️

Hi guys,

I plan to furher my phd in accounting at UK in September 2020. I know it is too early but I want to make myself fully prepared before i start my phd. Here is the details of my plan:

Current position: Lecturer&Consultant in Public University
Age:28
Field: Accounting&Finance(specialist in Management Accounting)
Phd interest area: Management Accounting, Financial Engineering, Islamic Accounting, Auditing, Policy related with Accounting

Why 2020; I plan to complete ACCA on June 2020(exam) and to take CGMA next year(under CIMA)+I have on going research and I want to prepare a solid proposal before I fly to further my PHD.

Need helps on:
1. Any recommendation for topic related to my interest.
2. Any potential supervisor that you guys can share?
3. List of potential universities to pursue my study
4. Any potential/related scholarship that I can apply for?

Im still single(need to know how much allowance for cost of living) and my preferred uni that I’ve list down;

Hi all,

I want to ask /k opinion about my problem. Few days ago, my new boss (this is my second year here) start to text and call me syg. I thought it was a joke until the next day, he call me syg in front of other people. After that, i called him for job related purposes, he called me sayang even after i said please, treat it as official matters.

I feel uncomfortable and to avoid him, it is not my viable choice. I need to work under his supervision, like meeting him once in a week to report and discuss for other job related matters. I need to report to him directly and he is the one that assessing my work portfolio, performance, etc.

Few months ago,he told some of my colleague that i closed with, about how he feels different when im around, he missed me when im not around and so on. I thought it was a joke until few days ago, when he started to touch my clothes in front of others, and since everyone in that room look at me, i need to sit beside him(he called me to sit beside him, and got another boss inside that office) and suddenly he touched my clothes.

Now i feel uncomfortable meeting with him but i cant avoid him too. My heart start to run wildly and seeing a sight of his car make me want to drive like crazy. Fyi, both of us are single, not yet committed to other person in our life. Im not sure his sayang word to me is joke or serious matter.

To report him, i doubt people will tell me im overthink about his manner, but for 16 years, he never text other single girls the way he texted me. I just want piece of advice on how to avoid him and go on with my life😔I only can tell in /k since i cant tell my other colleague(sked they will view him differently)😣

Hi alls,

Today is a long day for me😪
Im back to the office and in the afternoon, i met with my hr, integrity dept.&my second boss.

The second boss, (his colleague and the one that helping me) had already brief hr n integrity officer about my case. Then i start telling my own story and present them with the report that i had draft together with all the attachment, snap shots of hundred face time missed call with the timing, few record of phone calls and other statement from witnesses(at pantry, office and lobby)

I illustrate the scene here:
After i explained, hr said, I'm sorry that i did not take ur complaint seriously last time, i thought u just want some opinion from my dept.-how do you feel now?still uncomfortable with him?(she said a longer version to defend her action last time actually🙄)

Me: I don't know, i haven't meet him yet as for today, but before this, yes, I'm not comfortable with him after he started call me syg.
calling me in the mid nite, texting me, embarrassing me in front of others and touching me and some of his actions really makes me feel uncomfortable. At that time, I even scared at the sight of his car, i just want to avoid his pervert smile and image😣Every day, i prayed that he will not call my office, or whatssap my hp to meet him-or to ask me to go to his office😔

Then, i was asked, why i did not report him at the first time he did that...i told her, i keep it silence, what i did is to express it in /k coz i did not want my colleagues to have bad perception towards him and after some opinion i got from here, i discussed it with my colleague that i call sis for two hours and she glad i told everything as she saw it obviously..(she encouraged me to ask hr)..why didn't i report? first, i think he is more friendly to me since we are meeting frequently for the project compared to the first year of my employment-i see a good sign that finally the boss who used to hate me, start to call me for more project and discussion, involving me and allowed me to play my roles, delegating tasks from senior, i felt like he finally utilizing me as employee&i want to give my very best for it, but apparently, day after day, he crossed the limit of boss and employee.
(Didnt mentioned /k part to hr😂)

I know the hr find it hard to believe, as the boss works here for 16years and i am barely reaching my second years here, but she cant denied that it was him when she read the message and saw all the evidence..

Hr: I heard you want to file a complaint and report...bla...bla..bla..but i remember her question-what is ur expectation upon filing a report?
(Oiii, i straight away 😤, how come a hr can ask me what is my expectation, that is her job to decide together with the top management🙄so i tell her about some act and the harassment guideline shared by /k member(to refresh her memory😤) and i told her that, me too, want the best solution for this issue and i think i deserve to feel comfortable at my workplace..that is what i told her)

Then come integrity officer part-he said that this one is unethical and definitely a harassment but...
(The officer came from HQ)
He told me that they cannot fired my boss and me, and as for the transfer option, they will try to assist on that matters, as both of us is tie to the industrial project at this location(where i was stationed now)-involving outside client as well, but they will verbally warning my boss to keep his distance and to not disturbing me..

He asked as for now, what are things that i want them to tell the boss:
(This is his list-main point)
-if we need to deal, his p.a, other boss and i will meet him with my colleague(no more meeting for only both of us)
-anything about my job-scope, report, kpi, will be monitored by second boss
-He will discuss matters of work in whatssap group
-No visit to my office
I tell the officer, that i did not want him to call my ext. no & whatever he want to tell me, he can asks other person to do that on behalf of him
-no sexual signs during any of our meeting&discussion
-no more lunch invitation even at his office pantry
-not even a single "romantic words", gestures and any words that can cause others to think that we are in relationship...
(Eg; she is my future wife, she loves me thats why she do that, if u hurt her, i will hurt u)

The integrity officer mentioned that once the boss commit thing that make me feel offended or uncomfortable again, report to him&they will bring the boss to the disciplinary committee(something like that)

Both of them asks me if i am serious on reporting about this, they hope i will re think and decide for the best of me(this is what i can summarize la, they talk about how thing will go hard on me, how it will affect the organisation, how it will be difficult process of investigation, bla..bla...but to say that, we hope u did not file a report🙄)

Then, hr and integrity went out to meet the boss.
I brought my friends and witnesses and meet the second boss and his assistant-we spoke in more friendly manner as we are colleague(all of my friends agreed that the boss treat me special compared to them), they can see that the boss really like/love me~but they also knew that i will not date my colleague(i prefer to not mixing my personal&working life) so i feel uncomfortable with it.

So, the second boss told me that, at first, the boss that harassed me want to match me with his assistant, but after that, the boss confessed to him, he likes me-he try to resist but he couldn't. The second boss witnessed few of his phone call and whatssap text to me, he said he is sorry as he does not know how i feel uncomfortable with that. I treat all my colleagues equally and he feel likes im too nice to him. Fyi, i had never spend a time with him at his office apart from work related discussion. So i don't know where is "too nice" came from🤔He said that maybe coz the boss is an orphan, not yet married, and seeing me treating everybody as a friend, helping other colleagues, always involving in organising event&so on, kurang kasih sayang, thus he think i can be a good wife for him~i am speechless, i know he want to get married but i don't think it has to be me, coz i don't love him😅I told the second boss, as much i respect my boss as superior, i really hope he do respect my decision to not involving in any romantic relationship at the workplace😔

I hand over all my document and report-we will meet (me, hr, integrity&top mgmt) again on this Friday at 4pm...i need to decide by then whether to report or not...
As for now, everyone, hr, integrity n boss colleagues is against me on reporting-i already heard their reasons but they too are not obstructing me on reporting part(it just up to me now)

I can't share the report content yet but if i made my decision, maybe i can share😂depends on my final thought later...they just told me it was carefully drafted and well sentenced, can be used in court, smthg like that(i ask my friend is law firm to help🤣)

Anyway, i just want to sincerely thanks /k that helped me a lot&providing me with ur valuable support🙇🏻‍♀️thanks for you guys opinion, i was ready during my meeting today, mentally&physically and yes, some of the advice can be predicted like burnt the bridge, hard to survive in the industry, bright future...bla...bla..bla...came out during the possibilty of things going on if i decide to report🙄

For those who are new to this thread;
TLDR: boss harrassed me at workplace
Meet with responsible dept.
Need to decide to report or not

Im serving two employer due to my scholarship agreement-only one is creating a trouble(office) while other employer(project) part is okay~both are my sponsored during my study...
I will travel occasionally to the project site every 3-4 months...both employer are tied to industrial partnership for three years and while my office paid for my salary, the project paid for my consultation fees and professional services..

I can't simply resign(though relocation might be possible, hopefully) as im in the middle of training subordinate at the project site...therefore, i need to weigh carefully pro n cons for both employer but at the same time, i do not want to be bullied/harassed by the boss..like some of u said, works is not as important as yourself are, i just hope God shows me the best way for everyone's benefit🙇🏻‍♀️

Wta, i plan to buy air asia ASEAN pass and want to start my journey from kl-cambodia-thailand-myanmar-laos and Vietnam.

Cambodia-phnom penh, siemreap(angkor wat)
Thailand-bangkok, chiang mai, chiang rai, golden triangle
Myanmar-Yangon, Mandalay/Bagan
Laos-Luang Prabang and vientianne
Vietnam-hanoi, da nang, ho chi minh

I plan to cover all main cities n tourist destination and my journey will be around 13-20 days. I am a girl and as for now, I dont have any travel companion yet. So my question are;

1. Is it safe for me to go by myself to those listed countries?
2. Is there any city that i should escape? Why?
3. How about the accomodation for those places?
4. Is my route okay or should i change my route plan?
5. Is 5000myr or usd 2,000 enough🤔

The Hr was friendly during the interview
my basic pay will start at 1800,is it a worth pay?
I will have 3 months probation and other benefits according to her are
1.training development
2.mileage 60-70 cents,not really sure which one is correct
3.ot claim if I stay at the office after 530pm,working of course
4.parking(monthly pass) if im not mistaken
5.study leave 4 days
6.full reimbursement fee for professional paper with the condition that i pass on first attempt
but i forgot to ask her about medical benefit
I just want to know if this firm(benefit) is good for newbie like me@there are the benefit that they do not offer to me as compared to other audit firm
