Project Alpha

I've been a pc enthusiast for just about a year or so. Building a gaming rig was only my goal at that time. But as time/months passed by, my love for PC grew. That is the time when i was hooked up to modding. This will be my first ever PC Mod. Right now, i'm in a foreign land and it is hard for me to grab all tools and materials to do modding since im still not familiar in this country. Anyways, I will stop this nonsense and proceed with my build log.

Introduction

- After the huge success of Bitfenix on the release of its Prodigy, Bitfenix provides another option for those enthusiast who wants a compact computer that can cater long/high-end graphics card and tower heat sinks. Last year, Bitfenix introduces Phenom. Phenom has two variants, mITX and mATX. What we will be reviewing here is Phenom mITX. This case is larger than other ordinary mITX cases but still, easy enough to carry around especially for LAN PARTY. Now, let’s see how much this Prodigy successor offers.

Packaging
- The packaging is like other box for cases. It comes in a box, it has 2 styrofoam blocks that protects the top and bottom part of the case. It is also shrouded in plastic like most other cases. Nothing special with the packaging.

Accessory Box
- The case comes with an accessory box. Inside of the box, we can see a bag of screws, USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 adapter, spare thumb screws and some p-clips. Assembly guide is also included.

Exterior Tour

- Bitfenix Phenom gives an elegant, attractive, slick looking case. Material used are plastic and metal. The Phenom is available in black and white. The size of this case is 330mm in height, 250mm width and 374mm long. As we all know, Bitfenix Phenom is a successor of Prodigy but we can see a significant difference on its outer appearance. The wobbly brackets are now gone.

Hi guys,
This is my first time posting a worklog here in lowyat.
I am a hobby modder. Not a hardcore modder like our fellow guys here but I am a supplier of Liquid Cooling stuffs and Sleeves.
Anyways, PROJECT: PHENOM LTP (Long-Term Project) is my very first itx build since i was an avid fan of MID-FULL TOWER casing when I was still in the Philippines. BTW, i am from Philippines, currently residing here in KL(work purpose). The reason why I go for ITX build is because there is not enough space on the condo/room for a full tower case, though i stay on the masters bed room. to many stuffs. hahahaha. BUT I am starting to love ITX build since it gives me more challenge when it comes to LCS.
