Where can I still buy physical PS3 games in Klang Valley or Seremban area? I don't want to buy online. I would like to belek belek and see what games available - so prefer physical shop. Is there still such shop available?

Inb4 - not a gamer. Son was gifted a PS3 station, so I promised him for every A he got in exam I buy him 1 game. So now need to honour that promise.

Lenovo X1 Carbon

I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon 7th Gen laptop. It was working fine until one day it won't charge (no light on the usb port during charge). I send to a shop to repair it, but the technician the main board spoilt and not repairable.

I checked the laptop again, I saw the tech managed to repair the charge port (usb led lighted up), but now the laptop won't boot fully. When hitting the power button, the keyboard lights up momentarily, then a single beep can be heard, but no display.

I tried everything online recommendation, hard reset etc, but no avail.

So now I want to ask the experts here, is there hope for my laptop - if yes where I can send it for repairs? It was a good laptop, kinda waste if to throw it away. Its the model with touchscreen too.

I almost got scammed RM30k

Yesterday night I almost got scammed RM30k. So I am thinking of switching to Linux OS - would it be more secure than Windows for day to day business operation like email and banking? I am using my own domain email with local webhost - would switching to Google Workspace would be more secure?

Here is the story below.

I have been dealing with a supplier in Spain for a few years. So recently, we have a large order kinda delayed by 1 month, so we have a rather long email thread about the same order. Finally everything is ready, and supplier submitted the packing list and commercial invoice for me to pay last friday.
So since its already friday, I kinda stalled the payment until yesterday night. Just before I about to pay, the hacker, emailed stating due to the european banking regulation, they have to change to a different bank. This hacker emailed from the same email thread, but changed their email to very similar email as my supplier, including those on the cc copy.

The banking information is also similar. Same company name, just different bank. I didn't think much because my previous transaction, I had some banking troubles too because of some other regulations, so I thought this is one of it.

But what triggers my red flag is, the way the invoice was presented. It was "super imposed" using some PDF software, while my supplier actually scanned a hardcopy and sent it in PDF. So I checked with my supplier via whatsapp, then I found out the email wasn't from them.

So I think, its either my email or suppliers email was compromised. I am thinking of upgrading my security system. Would Linux help? I am using email with a webhosting, would switching it to Google workspace will be more secure?

Running a comfortable and profitable business, now all contacts are by word of mouth. I am wondering if LinkedIn will offer better visibility to my business.

FB doesn't t work, as these are towards end users or industry of Fast Moving Goods. (I have tried it a few years now, and yes I do have a FB page).

My business is somewhat related to construction, more towards high end and large venue work.

I am looking for a cable label printer. The Dymo stuff don't cut it as the label tend to peel and fade after some time. Can I know what cable Sifu uses for labeling work?

I want to ask, if I want to fly to Manila, and choose add baggage up to 60kg (max option), and add sport goods (max 40kg), does it means I would have 100kg total allocation?

Or I am still limited to 60kg only?

Airasia artificial chat helpline is no help over here and wasn't clear about my question. Maybe ktard here can help me answer.

If you wonder why? I need to bring about 180kg goods to Manila. I was qouted RM8k if I send via logistics, so I calculated if I fly over and bring it over myself + one passanger, each buy 100kg luggage, it would only cost me RM4k max. Its not drugs I am carrying la. Just some donated goods that's hard to get over there.

Hi Ktard. I am kinda annoyed, to the point of wanting to rant to Bank Negara.

Why does bank/credit card peddler always tick more than 1 credit card than you applied?

Just last week I was at certain bank office. I wanted Card A, but the bank sent me card B and card C. I complained to the officer who took my form. He said he only submitted for Card A approval. So I ask, how now? Can I not activate the card and the account auto cancel? He never reply me.

Why la bank do this kind of thing. I thought bank very SOP one. Cannot veer off one. How come credit card so lax?

Update: I wish to inform, a fellow Ktard contacted me. He has a taxation business, very professional and no hanky-panky. Got my account sorted even though it was considered late to consolidate the accounts. I paid much less that I initially thought I need to pay, maybe because I am bad at accounting. So thanks ktard-ktard semua!

I did a quick calculation - wah lau I have to have like RM14k tax. Betul ke?

Well, my Illegear laptop died yet again. Illegear support has been stellar so far, but at this rate I cannot trust Tong Fang made laptops anymore. They are simply just not reliable.

Upgrading my Intel Pentium G4560

Hi,

I have a Lenovo V520 Desktop configured with Intel CPU G4560 with 8GB Ram. I am been tasked to upgrade this desktop.

I checked this processor uses FCLGA1151 socket. When I search the list, I saw Intel core i5-7400 is in the list that uses the same socket.

So technically I can swap the processor without changing the MOBO right? What else do I need to look out for?

Hello Ktard - ktard 20K earner semua, wanna ask advice and opinion about business loans.

I run a small business, last year almost got RM400k turnover, and this year already pass RM500k turnover. It took me a while to reach this point, but I am satisfied with my progress so far.

I have been operating without any loan, any working capital is my own money generated by savings+business profit.

So now I am thinking of growing bigger - rent shop, bring in larger stock inventory. So I am thinking of a business loan.

Any ktard here can share tips? Where to loan, what are interest like? Is banker anal to deal with etc? Thinking of loaning RM200k for stock inventory and shop rental.

So far I have only experience in car and house loan rental. No ah long loan for me.
