Soft image by nikkor 35mm f1.8G

Recently, I bought a nikkor 35mm f1.8G. After I used it for few weeks, i realized that it had back focus problem and the image taken is very soft (my 18-55mm is much sharper). I sent it to nikon service center together with camera body. The technician didn't repair anything on the lens, he just adjust the AF fine tune on the camera. The problem still didn't solve!! Wanna ask the pros here, is it the lens problem and how to solve it?? Thanks!

I focused the tripod stand but car tire appear sharp. I'm using D7000.

Should i get a nikkor 18-55mm vr or a 18-105mm vr by considering the price, weight, sharpness......?
