Lenovo Y50-70 5941/3?

A friend recommended I get the Lenovo Y50-70 because it's offering the best spec for what it's offering. A quick look here showed me I'm way out of my league. I have no idea what most of this means. Why got so many different ones and why all the prices different?

Budget less than RM4k. Need for work + mild gaming.

TL;DR:

Datuk Lee Chong Wei recently splurged an incredible RM97,777 for the number plate BMW6. MyWatch chairman R. Sri Sanjeevan paid RM174,776 and RM165,000 for car plate numbers BMW8 and BMW 11 respectively, amounting to a total of RM339,776.

Price for car plates BMW1, BMW2, BMW7, BMW9 and BMW10: RM0.00.

Free car plates for gov officials? RTD director-general Datuk Ismail Ahmad denied the claims. According to him, the bidders won the bids fair and square and the names were withheld to avoid “negative public perception.” Much drama in social media.

Side note: I was actually supposed to write about the RM0 car plates, but couldn't get over how expensive their car plate numbers are. I mean, I have a myvi that's like, half the price of Datuk LCW's car plate number and I have a 9 year loan to pay that off!

How much did y'all spend on your car plate number?

Window Blast Avanza or People will STEAL it

A guy drove his car to my house and told my mom and I that if we don't window blast the car RIGHT NOW, someone is going to steal our car.

He said he's noticed our car around Kuching a lot already and if we don't window blast it, it will get stolen. To tell the truth, I've never heard of window blasting. Basically you print the car numbers on the mirrors of the car.

We refused to let him into the house though, and he left with 'YOUR CAR WILL GET STOLEN' parting words basically.

Should we have paid him? Is it some kind of like. . . pay him money and your car won't get stolen? >< It's scary.

Myvi 1.3 or Myvi 1.5?

First time getting my own car. I will have to pay via loan so really, a Myvi is all I can afford. I wanted a Viva cause I'm a coward and think small cars are easier to maneuver, but everybody is against it because apparently Viva car 'tin kosong', veli dangerous.

Anyways, now I'm in between getting a Myvi 1.3 or 1.5. I'm getting different opinions on fuel consumption. Apparently 1.3 is more fuel consuming compared to the 1.5? That doesn't make sense to me but anyhow, there's about RM8k difference. I have saved enough to pay the 10% deposit for both. I will be mostly using the car to go to and from work (ten minutes drive without traffic, twenty to half hour otherwise). There shouldn't be much long distance involved.

Any advice is good! Loan-wise (longer 9 year loan or 5 year loan? wait till you have enough money to buy everything by cash, dont' use loan!), car-wise (1.3 to 1.5 anytime. Myvi sucks, get a Ferrari ) or just general advice (your username sucks, get a new one ).

WTB PS3/Xbox Kine + Controllers + Games

Hi,

I'm looking to buy either a PS3 with 2 or more controllers, games and all the necessary cables or a similarly set Xbox 360 kinect. Basically, if you're financing for a PS4 or other hobbies and are looking to get rid of that PS3/xbox360 gathering dust. Or if you decided that socializing is more important than sitting in front of your couch with your games, I'm willing to take over.

If you're looking to sell me second hand items for retail prices, I'm not gonna entertain you.
