Bayushi Jobs &amp; Careers Tue, 02 Jun 2015 22:59:45 +0800 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3449484 Hi all, <br /><br />need some advice. <br /><br />Currently i&#39;ve been doing techical job for almost 4-5 years. <br />Currently working as system integrator in SME so gets loads of experience in projects. <br /><br /><br />At present i got hunted with 2 offers, <br />1 from MNC for managerial role with minimal tech skills required.<br />1 more from another company that is hunting for system engineer, another technical position. <br /><br />Need advice on where to go or should i stay. <br />Currently lost as i don&#39;t really know what i want and am drifting in life...<br /><br /><b>edit:<br /></b><br />More background on my current position. <br />Currently i am in a SME so my role is a sys integrator/ sys admin/ pre sales consultant/ post sales consultant/ solution architect/ along with doing proposals and project management. <br /><br />Offer 1 - Go into MNC for middle management role to manage a few IT teams and become reporting manager to present report to client and maybe directors. <br /> This will give about 40% technical and 60% management job. <br /><br /><br />Offer 2 - Go to consulting firm and become cloud system and solution architect/engineer. <br /> This will be 80% technical and 20% management job. <br /><br /><br />Currently both offer are good and from advice from friends 4-5 years in technical i should get out soon to go into management or become full time architect. <br /><br />Hence some dillemma on both offer given to me as my career path is at a fork and not sure where i want to go to now, and come here seeking advice from people who had this similar experience and what made them go through with their decision.
