rendering problem 3d max

Hi, can anyone help ?
I have done 2 rendering in same scene, but with different color of material, but 1 seems ok on the moulding with the dark background, where as the other 1 with white background, the moulding seems broken....
Can anyone advice on this?....many thanks.....
