Bedroom skim coating & painting

Hi guys,
Need to ask for some advice. Going to complete skim coating my small bedroom (10 feet x 10 feet) and followed by painting.

Questions:
Currently, I have completed sanding all the 4 walls using 180 grit sandpaper. Two issues.
(1): For the final touch up, what is the recommended sandpaper grit? Anything finer than 180? Or just maintain 180?
(2): For the sandpaper scratches caused by the 180 grit, can I just run primer on it? I read that Juton Ultra Primer can help to mask these sort of "imperfections".

Now, comes to lighting and wall color. My bedroom is on the small side (10 feet x 10 feet).
(3): What is the recommended paint color to use in order to create an illusion of a bigger room? Also, I want to make sure the color is soothing, calm and create relaxation.

I am leaning on soft cool color- something like soft baby blue. However, this leads to lighting issue. Warm lights (yellowish color) tend to make baby blue walls look dark...

(4): So, what are the other color options that will make the room look bigger? Soft / muted yellow? I am hoping that the warm lights will bring the beauty and richness in the wall paint.

MSI GTX1070TI Gaming X

Hi all sifus,
Just wanna ask - planning to buy MSI GTX1070TI Gaming X from Neweg in the USA and have it shipped to Malaysia using VPost. It is way cheaper there - being USD500 x 4 = RM2K vs. RM2.5K charged by Lelong sellers .

However, what are risks?
- will it be damaged in transit?
- will it be taxed upon receiving in Malaysia?

Please advice. Anyone with previous experience is welcomed to advice.

Hi all sifus,
Looking for good 2nd hand car dealer for WAJA 04/05 Manual (Mitsubishi 4G18 engine). Any recommendation? Also, what are the pitfalls to look out for when buying 2nd hand car?

Heard many horror stories like:
- manipulated mileage,
- engine problem,
- stolen cars,
- paint problem,
- etc...
How to watch out for these pitfalls?

What is the meaning of Accrued Billings?

Hi guys, i came across this term

"Accrued billings"

When reading the quarterly reports of a property developer, Global Oriental Berhad in the current assets section.

Just asking, what is the meaning of "accrued billings" used in the context of a property developer? What gives rise to "accrued billings"?

I find it weird because property developers cannot recognise unbilled sales in its financial statements but rather to recognise sales per the percentage of completion and this matched against its property development costs in its P&L.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Plenitude taking over Nomad group

Hi all sifus,
Need some advice for the take over offer by Plenitude for Nomad group. Appears in The Star newspaper today.

http://www.thestar.com.my/Business/Busines...8mil/?style=biz

What does it mean by this?
"In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Plenitude proposed to take over Nomad for RM1.25 per share or RM278.84mil via the issuance of 111.55 million new Plenitude shares of RM2.50 each."

I sense that you can make a profit via a back door to Plenitude by buying up Nomad shares.

Questions:
Does it mean that Plenitude shares will reach RM2.50 each?
What if Plenitude shares do not and is hovering at RM2.40 during the take over?
Also, assuming if Nomad shares are trading at RM1.10, does this represent an arbitrage profit? Like i just buy 2x Nomad shares at RM2.20 and then swap for 1 Plenitude share at RM2.50 and profit at RM0.30?

Ask her out on a dinner date?

Hi;
Ms. A is a colleague from a different department. Throughout lunch, she is talking 70% about work and her colleagues and her university course and the rest (30%) about her friends and some of her personal stuff. But these are not very intimate stuff, just skimming on the surface. From all this, I do not know whether she is really into me or not. But then, I do not wish to lose momentum and want to proceed asking her out for a dinner date. Real dinner date with no work excuse as an overlay. Just asking: What is the best way to do it? AND importantly, when to do it?

Which online retailer carries 1" (1 inch) wire cap

Hi guys,
I am looking far and wide for online retailers who carry 1" (1 inch) diameter wire cap. Something as shown below:
[attachmentid=4073006]

After searching the entire Penang Island, the smallest is 1.5" (1.5 inches) diameter wire cap. Hence, need to extend my search to online retailers now...

Thanks alot.

HELP... how to tidy up wire hole in study desk?

Hi guys,
A while back, i purchased an IKEA galant table (melamine foil - white color) and hired a handyman to bore a hole of 1 inch in diameter for wires to pass through. That handyman did a real sloppy job and make a mess out of the hole. Basically, he does not know that he should commence drilling the hole at the tabletop surface ~ facing the user ~ but instead he drilled through the bottom of the table. The exit hole is ugly and the particle board together with the melamine foil sitting at the edge of the hole chipped off significantly.

You can refer to the picture here...
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nE4JYEI...dit?usp=sharing

http://www.ikea.com/my/en/catalog/products...956/#/S69886158

These are my concerns:
(1): How to seal in the rough edges?
Whether the chipping of both the particleboard + melamine foil will worsen over time? If yes, what can i do to stop it impromptu? There is a suggestion to buy wood glue / adhesives to "seal in" the rough edges to avoid further peeling of the melamine foil and particleboard surrounding the edges of the hole.

What sort of wood glue is highly recommended for this task?

Hopefully, the situation is not so dire until a change of the tabletop is required. I just bought it less than 1 month.

(2): Where to find online retailers selling 1 inch grommet? Currently, i am residing in Penang and after an island wide search, the smallest in the market is 1.5 inch in hole diameter.

Thanks for your help.
