This particular dentist told us that it wud cost 5k to do root canaling, and apparently not all dentists can do it, need a specialist la pulak huh.

Used FD2

Currently eyeing for a used FD2. Price-wise it is now more affordable (2006-2008 model goes around 55-70k. 2009-2011 model goes around 70-90k).

The reasons i am considering the purchase of said car are:

(1) i like the car as it looks good inside out (feel good factor 11/10) - have always wanted to drive one since 10 years ago when I was still a student

(2) am currently driving a 2004 2.0 i-vtec ES - so i pretty much have experienced the reliability and characteristics of an old civic, thats why i dont really mind and worry much buying a 5-10yr old civic as I bet (willing to gamble) that it would run well with good care. If any repairs are needed, I dont mind forking out 1-2k per year to maintain it. Current civic runs really well and I have no problem whatsoever with it, except for minor wear and tear, which is expected lah.

Questions:

1) what are the common problems associated with this model?
2) Go for 2009+ facelifted model or 2006-2009 is sufficient?
3) [WTB] Anyone or any dealers you want to recommend?
4) theif magnet?
5) heck, should I just use my ES as it is still running fine?

Help! One of tyres is complete flat

one of my tyres is now completely flat i guess, by the look of it.

I stopped by a petrol station to fill in the air, but the pump just does not respond to it at all. But using it on other tyres, the pump is functional. so i drove the car back home slowly with that flat tyre (abt 2km)

now i am planning to drive the car back to the station to try fill it in again because i was informed by my buddy that there are actually two modes on filling air:

1- the typical fill air according to set pressure

2- another button that if we press it it will continuously pump out air

my question is is #2 really legit? i dont want to risk driving 2km there to attempt and fail, then have to come back another 2km, which will risk damaging the tyre/rim.

- no spare tyre
- tyre is a 19" rim, so disassembling it will be a hassle

pls advise

Hi,

Im trying to find a 2nd hand car, just for uses in town. 5 days a week, about 25km return journey.

I found a lot of proton savvy in Mudah with prices around 7-10k.

Just wondering why the price is quite cheap, and are there any common problems for this car?

Even Kelisas are more expensive than most 2nd hand savvys.

Recently I had my car towed from around KLCC area to the Kajang area. I paid RM250 for that. Just wondering roughly how much is the average towing rate per kilometre? Or do they calculate by the time spent to tow?

I think the price I paid was pretty high
