            <description>&lt;br /&gt;West Malaysia News - 17 Apr 17&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;S P Setia Berhad (S P Setia), via its wholly owned subsidiary, KL East Sdn Bhd, entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement to acquire a parcel of land measuring approximately 342.5 acres located in Bangi, Selangor, known as &lt;b&gt;Bangi Estate&lt;/b&gt; (“Bangi Land”), from a subsidiary of PNB Development Sdn. Berhad (PNB Development), Seriemas Development Sdn. Berhad, for a purchase price of approximately RM447.58 million (RM30.00 per square foot) plus a share of the future, audited profit before taxation from the development of the said land, up to a maximum of RM3.00 per square foot. PNB Development is a wholly owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bangi Land is located near Bandar Baru Bangi, Kajang and Semenyih. It is accessible via several major highways namely Kajang-Seremban Highway (LEKAS), North-South Expressway (PLUS) and South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE). Bangi Land is approximately 30 km south-east of the city centre of Kuala Lumpur and approximately 25 km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Bangi Land is planned for a mixed development township comprising residential (e.g. apartments, linked houses and cluster houses) and commercial (e.g. shops and shop offices) components and is expected to have a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM2.74 billion.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Bangi Land is also located within a 5-km radius from our existing two sister mixed development townships, namely Setia Ecohill and Setia Ecohill 2. With our good track record, we are confident of developing Bangi Land into another success story for us to be proud of”, said Dato Khor’ Chap Jen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On the same day, S P Setia, PNB and Amanahraya Trustees Berhad, trustee for Amanah Saham Bumiputera, had entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Intent to commence negotiations on the proposed acquisition by S P Setia of the entire equity interest in I&amp;amp;P Group Sdn. Berhad, which has remaining 4,263 acres of landbanks to fast track its expansion plan. &lt;br /&gt;</description>

            <description>EcoWorld sticks to 1Q2016 launch date for RM8.7 bil Bukit Bintang City Centre.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;KUALA LUMPUR:  Eco World Development Group Bhd is expected to start construction of the RM8.7bil Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) project by the first quarter of 2016, once it has obtained the development approval from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Its CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah said on Wednesday the company would prepare the pre-marketing for the launch of the project by year-end.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;We remain confident of achieving our RM3bil sales target this year, due to the number of projects that we are doing in the township currently. We have the flexibility to have a broader marketing spectrum of products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;quot;Whatever challenges thrown at us this year or next year, we are quite confident that the sales target would be met,&amp;quot; he said the EGM.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The former Pudu jail site has been approved for a mixed residential and commercial development comprising a retail mall, an entertainment block, strata offices, office tower, two hotels, and serviced residences and aparments.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The development period is expected to be about eight to 10 years.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During the EGM, shareholders had approved the company&amp;#39;s proposal to subscribe for two million new ordinary shares of RM1 each in BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, representing a 40 per cent stake in the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of BBCC.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BBCC is a special purpose vehicle, jointly set up by Eco World, Uda Holdings Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for the purpose of developing the BBCC project.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eco World had on Feb 4, 2015, entered into shareholders&amp;#39; agreement with UDA Holdings and the EPF to jointly invest and fund BBCC as the vehicle to undertake the development of the project. - Bernama</description>
