WD My Passport problem

Good day to everyone reading this post.

Can i ask for favors?

I have a WD my passport external harddisk.

I used for quite sometime,around 1-2 years.

Just started last week,it fail to respond when its usb part is plugged into my laptop.

The laptop gives the sound of something plugged in,but nothing turn up whatsoever.

And the harddisk started to give a "tick tick" sound.

I read online.

And i read one of the solution is to get a new cable wire due to a possibility of *insufficient power* to the harddisk.

Bought a new wire,plug the external harddisk with it into the laptop.

Laptop still gives the sound of something plugged in,but nothing turn up whatsoever,with the usual "tick tick" sound.

I treated the harddisk very well,and i put a lot of very precious and important things in it.

However,i do not have any backup data anywhere.

Is there anyway to recover from the external hardisk?

Or is it possible to ask any technicians to check out the external harddisk without reformatting it?
