Need help access almost dead laptop HDD

Item to revive : Toshiba Satelite with SATA II 500GB, running Win 7 Home
Problem : BIOS loaded OK, windows 7 icon loaded but it went to a all dark black background with ONLY an active mouse cursor. all other Ctrl+Alt+Del is no response and nothing at all...

what are the alternative to retrieve the data files from the 2.5' laptop HDD?

I think the MBR is screwed for sure, what i had tried so far in order to back up the data before i do a clean format:

1. use the Toshiba laptop built in recovery method. Error shown. i think even the recovery partition is corrupted.
when it loads into the recovery windows, all i got is error below which I found out is something to do with unmountable boot.
Error: F3-F000-0001

2. removed the 2.5" HDD, plug it to a USB dock, read it from another Win7. BUT i got this drive must be formatted and i got this error too

3. tried with a bunch of recovery tools but having hard time reading/access the HDD.

4. tried CHKDSK but it runs forever.... like more than 6 hours and still in stage 1, so i quit.

5. Use a Fedora Live UBS to boot up the laptop, BUT i don't have access to read the drive? or I don't know how.. any idea?

is the HDD gone for good? if i were to buy a new 2.5" HDD, how do i actually install windows 7 back to the Toshiba laptop? had been building desktop but no experience with laptop

hi folks,

recently setup my P5Q3 with Q9300, i migrate some of my HDD and optical drive from my old system to this one.

I encounter this problem when i change the boot device order or i made changes to the FSB in the BIOS, after made changes we will choose "Save & Exit" and system should restart and boot like normal until into Windows rite?

but the problem is everytime i leave BIOS after making changes, it looks like it wanna reboot, screen goes dark, then it will just stay there with the monitor showing Analog & Digital switching back and forth.

even a hard shutdown or restart button wont make it boot like normal. I need to switch off the powe supply button (cut off any power into MOBO) for like 30 secs then only it will be able to boot in. I think when i cut off the power, it actually clear the CMOS?

what is the problem here?? please advice...

convert to INT when export to excel

hi folks, this is regarding export of data record from MS Reporting Services 2005 to excel.
the export button is there and there are predefined export options (excel, pdf, CSV..)

now, i have the dataset prepared for the report content, and i just return the field to the report body.
and the field return from the stored proc, dataset is type of INT

but, once export to excel. it is converted automatically into string. refer below error in excel

and due to this, i wont be able to do custom filter with digit like ">100" because that colum is a string cell now.

any idea?

Needs:
No need play the latest games with high end setting. Mid setting is good enough.
