Stuck in "installing network"

i try to format my pc and install windows xp after my pc got virus.
after i format it, i install windows xp. when it reach that stage call "installing network" (after installing device), it will stuck there. and after i wait for 1 to 2 hours its still the same . i try to change the cd. but its still the same. anyone can tell me what happen to my pc?
