Details of the complaint :

bought the above item from farizmi on 8th aug 2018 for rm 550
i also asked him if he has any motherboard for sale during COD
he said he has ... he then went back and gotten it .. sold me his motherboard asus z97k for rm 200

i finally managed to gather everything together to build the pc ... ram psu ssd casing etc
but thats already 6th sept 2018
mobo and cpu all connected in casing along with all other peripherals
i have built pc from scratch many times ... this is not my 1st

pushed the power button .. casing fans spin for nothing more than 2 secs
messaged seller ... he told me to try mobo out of casing ... check wiring ... fan ... etc
which i did all of that
even swapped out psu

finally i got myself another compatible motherboard to try .. still will not start up .. fans spins for few seconds then nothing
i then replaced the i5 4690k with my now in use i7 to the compatible motherboard
pc starts up immediately without a hitch
now this is with another compatible motherboard and my own i7 .. all running LGA 1150
in any combo involving the mobo or cpu from seller ... pc just will not boot up

all this time during the weekend i had to gather extras and spares to sort out the issue

i messaged seller and reported this matter many many times over the weekend but did not get a reply (seller did not even read message until today)

he says his personal warranty of 1 week already over
he will not be taking responsibility for anything
yes ... its my fault that i took a long time get everything together and build the pc
but the mobo and cpu did not work from day 1 immediately after i built my pc

i am writing this complain so that i may get a fair view from fellow forummers

Details of the complaint : bought s7e from him in Nov 2016 ... i was told phone was was purchased with contract from telco couple of weeks ago at the time of COD
used the phone for almost 10 months .. then early september 2017 the sim 1 in the s7e became unusable (sim cannot register on network)
as item is under SME warranty i took it to the service center ... i was told by service center there is nothing wrong with the phone ... except the sim slot 1 IMEI is blocked but telco for non payment / breach of contract of the original purchaser of the phone (which i assume was the seller)
contacted the seller to try to resolve this issue ... seller has refused to respond after reading messages ... and also refused to pick up calls from me ... it can be seen seller is still active in whatsapp

i am doubting my chances of getting any compensation from seller
this is a just so that everybody is wary of this seller

hi ... previously on my old PC i had this audio recording wizard software which allows me to record any sound that comes thru my sound card ie. any thing i can hear on my PC i can capture it in the format that i prefer

i changed PC and now using back the same software ...
installed software without any probs ..

open the software .. no prob

the prob starts when the software says NO RECORDING SOURCE and there are no options for me to select any different source .. tried it with WIN7 and oso XP ... both wont work with the same prob ... cannot find recording source

i currently do not have any hardware or software prob ... all other progs and sounds videos games etc etc runs perfect without any prob ...

when i open recording/input select (in windows volume mixer) it does not allow me to highlight the STEREO MIXER option which is what i need

my router modem .. aztech 600ew flashed with TI firmware
this has been servicing me for last almost 3 years without any prob ...
lately it keeps disconnecting during storm/rain (i am assuming this is normal for most ppl) .. but sometimes no rain no storm oso disconnect and then re-connect
my point is the dsl signal or whatever that is in the pic .. jumps from 1536/512 to as low as 30/512 sometimes
i dunno what the other readings says ... my physical house line bad or what ?? bad dsl signal ??
the telephone sounds ok ... no breaking up sound or anything most of the time

so b4 i call up stimix and give them a piece of my mind ... i would appreciate any opinions about the readings based on the attached pic

heres my HDDs and specs ...

q6600@3.0
4gb ballistic tracer RAM
asus 8800gt top
p5k deluxe mobo
acbel R8 800watt psu

what i am using and have done

installed a USED SEAGATE 160gb HDD (drive D) into my PC
previously using XP in my primary HDD 80gb (drive C)
i have another HDD 500gb (drive E) used to store my data

this is my prob

i tried installing a new OS (tried WIN7 VISTA and oso LINUX UBUNTU) onto the 160gb HDD (drive D)
everything went fine as per normal installation
when it reboots (as per required by all installations) the HDD does not want to boot up after OS files has been copied onto it
i tried copying and accessing data files on this drive D all no probs ... only install and boot OS having this prob

my suspect

maybe previously this HDD was used as RAID .. have to wipe (doing this as i am typing using acronis) the HDD ??

anybody with this type of experience or solution ??

maxtor sata 80gb
wd sata 160gb
maxtor sata 200gb
panasonic sata dvd writer
8800gt gfx card
acbel 800w psu

my problem :
woke up this morning and suddenly blank screen and cursor blinking
didnt do any hardware alteration or changes for the last 3 months

what i did to troubleshoot :
reboot-ed pc and went into BIOS to check my hardwares
BIOS reported ATAPI incompatible device (the dvd writer) and couldnt detect one of my HDD (maxtor 80gb)
removed and replugged sata cables and power cables (at the same time might as well remove and cleaned my HSF oso laa )
restarted PC .. still cannot detect both the maxtor 80gb and incompatible ATAPI device

further action to ensure not hardware failure :
switched the maxtor 80gb to another sata port on mobo and it was working fine (so not HDD die)
switched ATAPI (dvd) to another sata port ... same prob / no change

more info :
previously similar prob but unplugging and re-plugging solved the prob ... but no this time
will try and changed sata cable later (cannot find spare one now) and update

asking if anybody who faced similar problem like this with ASUS P5K deluxe or any other mobo b4 and what they did to solve this prob

latest update from boatman in KK
Boat Owner : Steven ... Boat captain : Mokthar (one of the most senior boatman in KK)
Fishing Dates : 8,9,10&11 Aug 2008 4D3N trip
Proposed airticket dates : 8th AUG 08(depart from KL) 12th AUG 08(depart from KK)

Xp detects new rare type of hardware but ...

ok .. i just installed a new PCI card into my PC ..
this PCI card is a PhysX card .. what it does is this ... >>> http://www.ageia.com/physx/index.html
problem is .. XP detected the hardware .. and installed drivers automatically .. but it didnt say it was a PhysX device la ..
ok .. then i installed the drivers from the manufacturers themselves .. but the drivers themselves say that there is no such PhysX hardware in my PC

refer to screenshot and u can see the XP properties of the hardware but the driver software themselves cannot locate the hardware ... XP just says ASUS other devices whereas according to manual there should be an AGEIA product there ..

how ahh ??? windows knows there is hardware there .. but drivers cannot detect the ACTUAL HARDWARE ...
so i cannot enable the true nature of the PhysX card ..

ok .. heres the prob

i am using XP SP2 .. all this while i had no probs with this copy of XP which oso updates whenever updates are available ..
my PC .. q6600 + p5k deluxe + 8600gts OC + 3 HDs + 800w PSU + 19inch wide .. generally speaking

all this while i had been playing games without any probs .. no problems on gfx or PC hang or anything

now .. while playing C&C3 or some other driving games .. whole PC may hang or gfx gets discoloured and BLOCKS appears .. if i wait for a while PC MIGHT wontinue working but the gfx all screwed up .. sometimes the whole PC just hang .. end up i had to restart the game or REBOOT the PC manually

now ... after checking my hardware .. i confirm its not overheating or anything ... gfx card was nothing more than 68C during games and CPU nothing more than 55C .. i oso talk to another fren who had encountered this prob b4 .. he did mention maybe PSU not enuff .. unlikely in my case as his previous case all running 400-500w PSU

so i got fedup and reformat-ted my XP .. i am sure most of u are quite familiar with XP installation procedures .. after the CD formats your partition and copies files .. it will reboot to continue ... at this point just as u are about the see the XP logo (u can see the faint outline and colour of the start up XP logo) the whole PC freezes and manual reboot required ... ok .. i pressed REBOOT .. then everything continues as usual ..
i tried this installation at least 3 times yesterday .. all the same things happened

ok .. after i finally installed windows .. i had to install all the drivers etc etc ... here comes the funny part .. after u installed some drivers a restart is required rite ??
okies .. press RESTART then ... the PC would then hang at the XP logo part again .. manual press of button required .. after pressing button .. i come to the MENU of the windows start (usually u press F8 to access during start up) .. i can choose to boot windows normally or safe mode or whatever .. i chose NORMALLY .. then everything starts loading and boot up as it should ..
this happened for all drivers and softwares that required restart after installation ...

i tried something else ... instead of RESTART .. i clik-ed SHUT DOWN ... and then manually start up the PC again ... the prob never came up again using this method .. tried playing some games oso didnt HANG ... YET .. hehehehe

anybody else experiencing this ??? virus ??? i did a HARD FORMAT when re-installing windows so unlikely virus might be sitting there ..

q6600 + p5k deluxe wifi

hi .. i am new to overclocking
decided to make my 1st run couple of days ago .. but before i made my first run .. readings and rig are as below
q6600 @ 2.4
idle 50-51C
load 68-69C
vcore unknown

q6600 @ 3.0
idle 53-54C
load 71-72C
vcore unknown

my initial prob was the heat .. idling at 50-51C seems high at stock clock .. 53-54C after setting multiplier to 9 and bus to 333
now .. at 3.0 i manually set vcore to 1.275 to try and keep the heat down (idle 50C load 68C)
tried runnign some load using EVEREST ULTIMATE .. it crashed after 1-2mins !!!

after that i left vcore to AUTO setting .. i saw it went to about 1.33-1.37 in everest but PC no crash
temp idling was 54C load 71-72C ... abit dangerous ???

i concluded that vcore at 1.275 not enuff juice for cpu to run full load stable .. coz i saw it jumped to 1.33-1.37 after setting it to auto
now .. my heating prob comes back .. or is there some other complications involved as well ???

is this temp normal ??? read somewhere the max temp for this q6600 is 71C .. my cooling insufficient prob only ??
also i saw some of the aftermarket HSF comes with "for quad core" labelling .. mine doesnt have that as i have been using this HSF (scythe ninja) since my pentiumD
this ninja has done wonderfully for my hot pentiumD (load 58-60C)
now .. is there any truth to this "for quad core" labelling or just a marketing gimmick ???

Q6600 temp problem ?

i got myself a Q6600 G0 couple of weeks ago .. all specs are as listed in my siggy
my prob is .. idling temp is around 48-50 (when cpu downclocks to 1.6ghz) 54-55 (when cpu idling fully on 2.4) and 67-68 at load (cpu running at 2.4) .. NO OC or anything !!!
mobo temp stable at low 40s on idle and around 50 on load ..
gpu around 55-57 idling .. dunno what temp on load though ..

so i opened my NINJA HSF and remounted the whole thing again .. thermal paste used is coolermaster nano fusion .. i believe this is quite acceptable compared to stock HSF .. no chance to run the stock intel HSF as i had the NINJA mounted on this cpu the very 1st day i fixed it in
screws for tightening the NINJA are all checked and are tight .. any tighter and the mobo will break .. LOL

checked casing and heat sink fans .. all running and working normally ..

any idea whats wrong ???
should i try on the stock HSF and see how it goes ???

if any of u guys out there running similar setup as mine please advise on your idling and load temps

dual boot OSX and UBUNTU from GRUB

just for fun i am trying to dual boot OSX and UBUNTU from GRUB as a boot loader
previously i have been running UBUNTU in its own physical HD and OSX in another physical HD .. both operated smoothly .. i choose boot HD from BIOS

my HD of 80GB has no other things in it .. so here is what i did

i installed OSX 10.4.8 in one 40GB partition of my HD
did all the usual installation stuff for OSX etc etc
OSX runs well no probs at this point ..

then i installed ubuntu gutsy into the other remaining partition of the same HD .. theoratically speaking GRUB should be able to recognise my OSX as an OS and therefore add it as a startup option in the startup menu
however after installation of UBUNTU .. GRUB did not detect OSX as an OS and therefore no option for it to boot in GRUB
all it does is boot into UBUNTU wither usual 2 secs to press ESC to enter menu thingy at the start and then goes on loading up UBUNTU .. UBUNTU runs well no probs but NO OSX boot option only and so i cannot boot OSX

any ideas how do i get about GRUB to include OSX as an OS boot choice and boot into OSX or UBUNTU ???
