Renew driving license via MyEG?

I heard that nowadays driving license is only in digital form (or they may provide you a "renewal slip" or some sort?), and you need to provide proof that you are traveling for them to provide you with a physical card.

When I try to renew via MyEG, there is a "delivery" option for the Collection Method. Will MyEG actually provide me with a physical card? Or this is just the "renewal slip" that I mentioned above?

I'm new to prepaid so sorry if this is a stupid question.

Say if I choose the monthly 6GB that doesn't come with unlimited phone call, for RM35.

How are my phone calls being charged? Is it deducted from the 6GB too? But when you make phone call, you don't use data right? So how do they calculate it? Same goes for SMS too.

inactive/dormant Touch n Go card?

Today when I went to petrol station to try and reload my Touch n Go card, the cashier told me that the card is probably inactive as it is not found in the database.

It make sense because there was a 2 years period when I did not use my card at all. However, what doesn't make sense is the fact that I used my card for LRT ride on December last year.

You can see that the last transaction was made on December last year, and yet my card status is inactive (and is probably already inactive when I was making that last transaction).

Why was I able to use my Touch n Go card even though it is inactive?

anyone took MAS transit to Emirates flight before?

i will be travelling to London at the end of the year

since i live in Penang, the only available route is Penang to KL (operated by MAS), KL to Dubai and finally Dubai to London, all within one booking (booking done in Emirates website)

since the first leg of the trip is not operated by Emirates, i need to clarify few things:
1. will all my boarding pass be issued at the first counter? since i would be checking in on a MAS counter, im not sure if MAS counter can/will issue boarding pass of Emirates flight
2. its a different airline (heard they are partners though), but still the same booking, will Emirates hold responsibility if i miss out my connecting flight due to delay of the MAS flight?

basically, the first leg being operated by a different airline worries and confuses me quite a lot

pay cash to driver directly? or can use card? if card, which card? can use TnG card?

i have only taken train (LRT, KTM, etc) in which i always pay using TnG

Problem viewing videos embedded in Lowyat

Recently, I have been facing problem when it comes to viewing videos embedded in Lowyat. For example, the video in this post:

In Firefox, it gives me this error: "No Video with Supported Format and Mime Type Found". In Chrome, the video doesn't load at all.

Anyone know what's the cause?

i noticed that when i'm trying to book AsiaAsia flight ticket online, don't have option to key in passport number, not even IC number, only my name and contact details

is this normal? when am i supposed to key in my passport number then?

Question about routers supported by Unifi..

As I know, you can't use any router to replace the router provided by TM, you need routers that support VLAN tagging due to the IPTV feature.

However, what's the implication if I were to use routers that are not supported by Unifi? I have heard conflicting information, some said that you just won't be able to watch IPTV (which is fine by me as I don't watch it), but some said that you wouldn't be able to connect to the Internet at all. So which one is right?

probably my fault from applying too much force on it when i am gaming

anyway, i notice that if i trying to put it back on it can still work, but comes off very easily, either by sticking onto my thumb or sliding off when i tilt the stick too hard

so i am wondering if it is possible for me to just stick it using superglue just to make sure it wont come off

last time my myKad chip was damaged which delays the process of bank account opening, i already changed to a new myKad, and now if possible i want to make sure that the chip is still OK before continuing with banking matters

i have two bank accounts that i created long ago (Public Bank and CIMB), as someone who has trouble keeping his signature consistent, i'm quite sure my current signature would be way different from back then

what's the procedure to change my specimen signature? what do i need to bring? need to fill in any form? anyone have experience on this before?

I have an account at Public Bank, opened at about 5 years ago, so far, I only withdraw money through ATM or use online transaction.

My question is, if I were to withdraw a huge sum of money in the bank (or performing any bank related matters that requires filling in a form with own signature), are they very strict about whether the signature you put in the form match the specimen signature you provide to them when you first opened the account? Since I believe they also have other method of verification such as IC + thumbprint.

It has been years since I opened the account and my current signature is definitely different from back then. (I have problem keeping my signature consistent, I understand that this is a flaw within myself and I'm trying to fix it)

Maxis - purchase Mobile Internet Pass problem

When I try to purchase a Mobile Internet Pass (RM2 per day 100MB) through the EasyMenu, I got an SMS saying that I need to activate GPRS, what does it mean? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3, which I thought would have been using 3G instead.

There is an "Activate GPRS" setting in the EasyMenu, when I access that, it says that GPRS will be activated after 2 hours, but it's already way passed 2 hours.

Difference between basic salary and allowance

I just receive an offer letter from a company. In the letter, it is stated that my basic salary would be RM2XXX with an allowance of RM200.

What is the difference in between basic and allowance? They did not specifically state that it is food, petrol or traveling allowance, just a single word "allowance".

Also, they mention that both basic and allowance would be credited into my bank account, doesn't that make both of them essentially the same? Or perhaps allowance is something I will only receive if I perform exceptionally well during the month?

withdraw money straight from the bank

this is kind of like a newbie question, as all the while i have been withdrawing money from the atm, i'm wondering what the typical process of withdrawing money straight from the bank is like?

- need to bring account book and I.C?
- need to fill a form?
- they verify that you are the owner of the account by checking your thumbprint?

Company designated bank?

I just got an offer from a company. In the offer letter, it is stated that I need to open an account at the company designated bank (RHB) during my orientation, where my upcoming salary would be credited in.

Will this bank account behave the same as other typical accounts created outside the workplace? (I already have a Public Bank account) Or will there be additional rules imposed onto it?

How's the working environment? I've heard plenty of negative feedbacks, but that was a few years back, is it still the same?

They seem to be mass-hiring in Jobstreet. There are about five pages worth of job positions, the position I'm interested in (Test Engineer) even has 30 full-time positions available.

Is it because they are expanding?
