Management Consulting Vs Supply Chain

Hi guys,

I would like to get some advices on choosing the offers which I gotten recently.

1) Management consulting 3.3k

2) Graduate Trainee in Supply chain 2.8k with bond of 1.5 years

My view on management consulting career
Adv
- higher salary
- No Bond
- Nearer to house

yes, it is offering higher salary compared to GT in supply chain. However when I think about what are the job prospects for this career , I find myself struggling to think of any companies which I could potentially go to for further career growth. I could name a few like Accenture, IQ group, IPOS etc. However I feel the career growth for management consulting is slightly limited. Also, I feel I can only be juggling around management consulting companies and this limits my career prospects. I may be wrong and I would appreciate if experienced people in the forum could enlighten me.

Also, I feel management consulting is like you are required to learn up alot of information for different industries yet to be deemed "expert" in the field in order to advise your client, but in actual you have not specialization which you can talk about. Nothing really beats experience in the particular field.

I read this article which kinda tells what im thinking as well
http://www.randomwok.com/career/the-dark-s...ulting-careers/

No doubt consulting skills is a good skilsl to have in your arsenal of skills. My concern is do I have opportunities outside management consulting companies with this skills ?

My view on supply chain career
Yes there's bond. but I could foresee alot of career prospects in supply chain as it is a skill and expertise that any commercial companies require , similar to marketing , sales , finance etc. Salary maybe low right now but the potential is higher in my point of view.

However I need to commit to lower salary and a bond.

so guys, appreciate if you could put in your opinion as Im kinda struggling right now choosing between these two.

cheers
