Amazon Fire TV power adaptor Question

Hi Everyone

thanks for reading and contributing.

I have previously owned a ROKU 3 and from a power standpoint it worked fine when i plugged it into a malaysian power supply. The adaptor was a 12v 1a rating

I am considering getting an amazon fire TV but just wondering whether it would work on malaysian power supply ? the power adaptor rating on it is 6.25v 2.5a.

any help is much appreciated
