1st time renter question - repair cost

I have rented before in the past but those rental agreement are not stamp and rather flexible. Landlord ok, tenant also cincai la. I also not the main tenant la.

Recently someone i know rented an apartment with a more proper tenancy agreement back in august last year.

One of the clause that caught our attention was any repair below a certain amount, Rm150, will be borne by the tenant. Anything above will be borne by landlord.

Is this a common practice in the world of renting?

Cause honestly, change light bulb, i think ok la, when i was renting last time, we sendiri cover cost lo. But no major big stuff when i was renting la.

Btw, so i'm not an expert in car transfer but the story is like this

The deceased put in the will to transfer to car to A.

and A want to transfer the car to B.

In this instance, when going to JPJ, can the executor just transfer the car to B directly? since of course this is the intention of A.

and before going to JPJ, the car insurance need to be bought on B's name, correct?

thanks in advance

Cheng ming tradition that you do, please share

Recently father in law passed away and mother in law insist cheng ming now must do 2 visits, to my father in law and then to grandparents in law.

Just curious is it common to be so "respectful" for cheng ming and ppl do more than once?

To share my experience, i dont always cheng ming when i was a kid (family issues, dont say anything about my parents). But memang hear sometimes ppl very happy to cheng ming few rounds.after i became adult cheng ming for father only and now for in laws.

Sometimes i always think, cheng ming is more about gathering with relatives to do something so i do think such rituals should be continue but i do think improvising and be more environmental friendly is important. But doing ritual more than once... need?

Ignore the fact that likely next year we will still skip cheng ming because covid 19 might still be rampant.

Old RM notes, is it worth more than face value?

I have about rm100 to 200 worth of the old RM notes

https://www.bnm.gov.my/-/the-second-series-past

This set. Combination of rm1, 5 and 10. I'm thinking to bring the notes to bank once mco is sort of more relax. But before that, is any of them possibly worth more than face value?

Example i know certain rm5 is being deem collectors version because of this cross thing, hence valued above the face value. But aside from that any others on the rm1 or rm10?

https://m.facebook.com/273705289309304/post...24779564201848/

Next question. Also have a bunch of the older RM2 purple note. In pristine condition with running number. Possible to fetch more thna face value?

Btw, just want to check if anybody here tried konjac?

Looking for rice replacement as need to reduce carb as my husband does not have good diabetes/heart family history.

https://shopee.com.my/-HALAL-Sedap-Konjac-F...0716.4077834982

My reservation now is, if you type konjac in lazada or shopee (not promoting any seller ya) is that, it looks like dodgy SME, homemade packaging.

Want to ask if anybody has other source of purchasing konjac like from supermarket?

Or sellers that are reliable on shopee, lazada?

Hi all, especially the ones born 90s and before, a small but noticeable group will venture into stamp collection. after all, there's no ipad during childhood

Just wondering what are you doing it with the stamp collection now?

I want to give them away, but feel wasted. Also, still got people want them?

Want to sell but i look at my collection, not worth $ from collectors, obviously as kids we dont understand the value of what is good collection.

fast forward, any ideas what to do with them? anyone actually did sell their "semi-worthless" collection away?

Can you work in another company while on leave?

Hi everyone

The scenario is as such. I have 18 days of leave left (which is almost one month of working month). I have to serve 3 months notice.

Example, if i tender in 1st October with my current Company, which is Company X. then 7 december 2020 onwards, i take leave. but 7th december actually i'm starting working in my new Company, which is Company Y.

In my EA form for Company X, the last day will be 31/12/2020. But for Company Y, the EA form start date will be 7/12/2020.

Is there any law prohibiting this? because Company X is still paying my salary technically, so i should not be employed by another company, correct?

Step father stroke

Stroke. Ipoh.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

He is very depressed. Keep saying he wants to go to hospital. He feels safer in the private hosp. First time, admit to gh. Cause emergency. Discharged after 2 days.

We had to send him to nursing home. Can't take care of him at home. Mum alone. Me working in kl.

Then, last sat, we admitted him to private hosp. He wasn't feeling well but doesn't warrant a hosp stay. I admitted him to satisfy his needs. Because i wanted a neuro from his fav hosp to tell him he is ok to discharged.

Then tues discharged. Tues night we talked on the phone. After 30 mins of telling him on the phone, he insist he wants to go back to hosp. Even told my physio (house call) to send him to hosp. He keep saying he will get better by staying in hosp. His logic is out of the window. EDIT: Looking for live-in maid to care for him at home. Contact for agencies, would be helpful.

My new problem.

He has climbed or attempt to climb down the bed 3 times in the last 4 days. and in the process, got one bruise on left shoulder. Nursing home maids gotta tie him up. To be honest, i would too.

He keeps saying he wants to go hosp or go home. Now the reason he wants to go hosp i believe
1) he does not want to use diapers, want to pee on his own.
2) he wants 24 hour care. you know, one ring and someone will be here.

Now how do i reason with a 71 y/o kid, with no rationale, trying to hurt himself, so i would bring him to hosp?

I would bring him home, but i need to set my rules. How to reason with an already stubborn man before sick, now become bad tempered, depressed, and possibly has brain damage in areas that even the neurologist may not know.
