Normally computer shop will charge 2-3%, wondering whether same for online purchases

netstat closes too fast

i want to have a look at all the connections to the internet, but netstat always closes too fast before i can read/print screen anything. How?

if i remember correctly there was another way to check too, the one with ping as well, how to do this one?

reboots after desktop

Using Windows XP Pro, SP2

(3 yrs old computer)
Asus K8V-MX
1 GB RAM
Radeon 9250
can' rmb PSU and others

Computer randomly reboots/freezes/monitor stops displaying(but can hear the comp running) I don't run games on this comp, only surf web, torrent and watch shows.

This has been going for a couple months already. Just changed hard disk last week, after the bootscreen said "Primary disk bad sector", everything ok for a couple days, then it starts again. (Boots from new HDD)

For the past couple months, comp will reboot, sometimes if still no display after that, i just turn off the power and wait awhile. Still tolerable and usable, if no random restarts the computer runs for hours.

Until just now, was only torrenting, when i came back, no display, reboot, desktop, reboot, desktop and some icons with text blanked out and coloured pixels(graphics problem the type) and also balloon saying adjust display settings, reboots before i can do anything, desktop with even more blanked out icons spreading, reboots and the loop goes on.

1) Have tried to go into safe mode, but when i tab F8, it brings me to boot device menu instead. Help?
2) Can't test part by part, incompatible parts.
3) Will try windows repair through cd, can't afford to reformat, very important(but not confidential) stuff

Any other suggestions?
Plan to send it to shop, but probably next week or so, meanwhile, would be great if can transfer/copy the hdd stuff.

I think its mobo problem, but this rebooting thing has spread to my other rig, which shouldn't have any hardware problems. Had a virus infection on both comps, cleaned them out. Any suggestion for the other rig as well?

performance Corsair 2GB - RM200 (when use vista then only upgrade)
HDD 250-320GB - RM150
Any decent casing - RM200
DVD-RW drive - RM100
PSU 500W - RM400

TOTAL: RM2000 w/o GC

Need to know which specific mobo to get, and cooling w/ price for processor

Bro wants 8800GT, but I'm open to any suggestions, GC fund at RM1000 lol
Remainder maybe upgrade processor

Bro's PC needs:
- Yesteryear's games on highest res (Bioshock etc)
- Can survive 2 years of new releases
- Learning/noob 3D rendering

My PC needs:
- Multitasking
- Windows minesweeper

Aiyo, I can't believe no one has started a topic on this anime/manga yet.

Synopsis:
Chi, a stripey grey/white kitten, gets lost from his/her family. While wandering around, a family of three takes in Chi, housing Chi temporarily while trying to find a new home for Chi.

Uber cuteness, kitty pidgin(lolcats meme caught on at LYN yet?).
I'm totally sold on this.

I've got the opening song memorised(granted, its only 30s long), and I can hum the background music.

Anyone who has kept cats will totally identify with this anime, esp episode 3.

Now, while I wait for other stuff to dl(only following one other anime), I shall be watching/replaying ep3.

what is it exactly? i found this while leafing through the monash undergrad course list, is it just another part of CS under another name, since its under bachelor of IT? what does it specialise in? would it be better to just take CS instead? job prospects?

more importantly, anyone done/doing this course? would like to know wat u learn
