practical experience requirement acca

ACCA expert pls give your thought on real world working experieces record for acca here....
i have read the acca website bout getting our 3 years PER record from employer.......well my case is quite different since what i searched on net all mostly auditors acquiring it...........

so here's my scenario.......

industry : small a/c firm < 10 ppl
type : chinaman style saja add in la
position : underappreciated/mistreaten account assistant (bau sua bau hai)
yrs working : lest than 3 yrs
mentor : none really.....worked closely with manager
job scope : mostly a/c related works covering preparing full set of a/c for all type of biz except listed companies, liason with customers where neccessary, ad hoc assignments, deals with auditor's silly questions related to a/c (i wonder auditors who have little a/c knowledge can audit accounts), making sure all accounts are pass to audit in time,
...........little of little everything related to tax, secretary & audit.........

I wonder if i want to get my PER assessment from my current boss.........how many objectives will i achieve out of 13......esp as account compared as audit assistant

btw....any advice whether shd i give notice of my resign.letter together with requiring for my PER report as far as i hv worked there OR its better to ask for it then only pass the letter later..........i want to compile it to 3 complete yrs when i take acca papers.......dun wan to waste it........is it normally we write it ourself of what we hv learnt & just let the boss/manager agree & sign i know now everything is online submission so.....how

acca certificate versus bsc degree

hi ..... i got friends that took OBU degree after completing F1 to F9 acca paper as a backup in case cant pass the Professional papers......
my question is....if i take up OBU degree cert only since now i have diploma in a/c izzit reqconized in the commercial line or those Degree holder other than from acca will took me over if we are in the potential employer's shortlist candidates/interviews.???what if i have a 3rd hon degree only ??is it possible to find a good job opportunity with this kind of qualification??

Please advice me cos i dont want to waste my time going to the wrong path......

WORKING IN SMALL ACCOUNTING FIRM

Hi there.....

Im a fresh grad dip. in a/c and joined a small a/c firm consist only 8ppl plus for the whole 3 dep. audit a/c tax.....which im the only a/c
assistant now working closely with my a/c manager ....honestly i passed my exams through reading memorizing bla bla with little knowledge of
the REAL working world so im having quite some hard time understanding my clients biz to do the a/c .....as all classification is subjective to the biz nature
and based on our own judgement/knowledge.I was here to LEARN.

but I have problems communicating with colleagues ....well the auditors ......who control/step on our head (a/c n tax) by slandering/picking/belittled and in short .....discredit our works ....im no polisher.....SO when i made mistakes for the first few months...i mean ya i wast zealous about tis job cos its quite boring n tedious ......tis so-called senior audit manager who actually sit behind me yelled n scolded me infront of everyone .....i accept my mistakes but it was really a trivial matters which i can fix in just few minutes.........i guess i got into her nerve frm that day onward .....she tried every little cowardy moves to kick me out of this pathetic firm.... BUT thank god I got a understanding manager who is on my side ....defending me in front of my big boss....each time......

My manager talked it over with me ......my 'excuses' were I was juggling with nonstop phone calsl(which 99% r for audit/tax matters), receiving/signing docs (which again for audit/tax), check'g emails, etc etc .....blablabla dat REALLY interrupting my a/c performance .....phew he said he understands & trying not to push me too far by giving me time and not deadline ........but again the audit dep thinked otherwise........all newcomers are just freshgrad like me but a few r deg.holders.....I was just '6 mths old' in tis job when all tis so-called polishers babies came in ..........I was 'insulted' almost every single days for my one or two mistakes out of my 200++ a/c entries .......dat lao yi audit manager was talked over by my manager after a burst out anger frm me .....she was 'silented' for just a few weeks then back again to her old style .....all these babies also followed her footstep....insult discrediting a/ctax job.....i realy improved myself for all sakes but they dont realy care .....i respect their job & when they made mistakes i wast there picking back on them .....now almost 1yrs plus & im getting realy fed up with these bunch of unprofessional ppl ....& tis job too ........its sad that we cant hv
d best of both worlds.....there is gona be some jerks out there who thought they 'know it all'

anyone out there what do you hv in mind what shd i do since i dun realy left any saving with tis low pay job compared to bank/etc...... i wish to futher into acca too

Hello everyone!!!

I know this topic has been discussed many times but I need a more updated info so please help me all those pro out there
Recently, I've been approached by a friend through work.....He just got involved in this online overseas investment in Forex,metals,bla bla......services which all
brokers actually offer too. He shared it with me and actually convincing me to join him in this 'venture' ........which we will act as a sales consultant (to bring ppl to join tis investment aka educational benefit too) and to put in USD3000 minimum as capital....the concept sounds simply and can make profit........but what im concern of is whether this is just another scam.....plus i have zero knowledge in this field....he even brought his 'now rich/achiever' in this thing to shared with me...im so excited and convinced in the sharing but then im worried again that it wont work out.......

Somemore i made my own online research of this broker firm but no independent review / ranking of this broker based in London beside its own website only.He claim that its still new in the market/malaysia but is expanding worldwide.

So far please tell me how to know that this broker is a trustable one in the market & whether i shd consider it .......i have been scammed before with empty promises and help and lost RM 4000.00 plus ........sound little but its my whole years of saving as a teenage......
