LG Oled C2 48 inch TV as monitor

Hi guys,

I would like to get some opinion on this TV to be used as monitor. Has anyone done it before? It has a refresh rate of 120Hz which I think will be good enough for gaming at 4K. Of course it’s gonna be a bit big but Malaysia don’t seem to sell the LG C2 42 inch. Reason I choose this TV is because I am looking for OLED 4k monitor and there is not much choice. I would love a 32 inch OLED 4K but they are not out yet. This looks like the best option now.

I know LG has ultra gear the same size but the price difference is huge. I believe it’s the same panel just that the ultra gear has display port and g sync I think.

Would appreciate if anyone that has this TV and using it as monitor can give some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Mechanical keyboard and mouse.

Guys recently I upgraded my rig for gaming mostly PUBG, Dota, rainbow 6, CS. I am still using conventional membrane keyboard and mouse (Logitech k200 and Logitech mouse).

As usual my gaming friends all now poisoning me to get a mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse stressing that it is important to have the best gaming experience. All my life I have been using normal KB and mouse and still enjoyed my games.

Anyway my question here is does the mechanical gaming KB and mouse really have a big difference in experience? Are they worth the money?(some are quite expensive).

If yes can anyone recommend any good mechanical Kb and mouse as I am totally newbie in this.

All feedbacks welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

BMW G30 vs Mercedes E250 or other recommendations

Guys just would like to get your opinion on the following cars. Actually in a dilemma now. Currently driving BMW F10 520i. Due to some events will be letting go of this car and will be looking for a new car. Currently shortlisted BMW G30 or Mercedes E250.

Personally I prefer the G30 due to its handling but the only problem is it will just be another 5 series. I have driven the f10 for 2 years and seems like a little boring. I test drove the G30 and in terms of power much better than my F10. Interior nothing much to shout about. Also the 5 years maintenance and service is a plus point.

As for Mercedes I didn't test drive yet but the exterior is so uncle looking. I am in my late thirties and I feel it is so uncle looking. Of course the interior is very nice and modern. But now they getting arrogant and said no more service vouchers like previously.

Of course I would love to get the other sportier cars like c43 or S5 with its 3.0L engine but those are out of my budget considering I prefer brand new rather than recon. I heard somewhere there are used car dealers that can import in brand new cars at a much cheaper price. Perhaps members here can shed some light on it.

Please let me know what you guys think of the 2 cars mentioned. I know in the end it's my decision but would love some discussions with all the sifu here.

Any feedback is welcomed. Thank you in advanced.

Car Insurance - Common Practice?

Hi Guys,

Just want to get some opinions from members here. My cousin bought a used car directly from an owner for around RM310k. When it comes to insuring the car, the insurance company wants my cousin to insure the car for RM450k. My cousin showed him the invoice that he bought the car for only RM310k and market value at that time is at most RM350k. He even asked the agent to check the market value from his side and the agent agreed that the market value of the car is around RM300 to 350k. But the agent insist that my cousin still need to insure the car at RM450k based on their chart. So my cousin say if you insist and he insure RM450k, how much will the insurance pay if the next day the car is stolen? The agent replied around RM300 to 350k follow market value. WTF?? Then my cousin asked what happens if he only wants to insure RM310k? The agent replied that will mean you under insure and if accident, the insurance will not pay the full market value. Huh?

My question is:

1. Is this common practice among all the general insurance? Anyone from that industry can shed some light on this? (Tried 3 insurance company, all said the same thing)

2. I feel that this method is a little like conning. Its like we are at their mercy and there is nothing we can do. Is there a body that govern the insurance company that allow them to do that?

Thanks to all sifus.

Dunlop tires

Guys I see that there are not many ppl using Dunlop tires here or maybe it's not popular? Any reasons behind it? Are they any good?

Reason I am asking is Cos my car came stock with Dunlop sp maxx sport gt 245/40/zr18. I was a little disappointed that it came with this tires but the only consolation is probably the tires are made in Germany.

Can someone enlighten me on this tires? Currently my new ride less than 2000km. So far so good but I haven't try the wet grip yet. Would be good if there are previous owners of this tires can give some feedback.

Thanks.

Malaysia' s security issue when selling car.

Guys just to share an experience that I encountered when I recently sold my car. I posted my ad on mudah and a genuine buyer called me up to view my car. As I was working at the time, I asked my dad to drive the car out to meet the buyer. Reason why we meet outside is prefer not to let buyer know where we stay.

As usual before my dad went out to meet the buyer, me and my mom asked my dad to be careful. If the buyer come in 2 to 4 men, then better not let them test drive and Straight away drive home. Scared they Rob and take the car.

Anyway cut the story short, everything went fine and the buyer tested the car. Now the funny thing is during the test drive, the wife of the buyer called and asked him to becareful. He was on loudspeaker as he is driving. The wife said if the owner come in 2 to 4 men, she ask the husband don't test drive scared kena robbed or kidnapped . Lolz. Of course the buyer assured the wife that is an uncle and very safe.

I was laughing when my dad told me this. But then after that I feel sad because this is actually not funny. Our security is so bad that buyer also scared, seller also scared. What have our society becomed?

Now when I relate this Story to my friend, they said why take the risk for extra few thousand. Just sell the car to used car. No risk.

Normally u guys will sell the car yourself or to used car? Or anyone had bad experience when buyers test drive the car? Would like to hear more stories if got.

Thks

Which type of car owner are you?

Guys just want to find out which type of car owners are you? I was debating with my fren on this topic last night and thought it would be good to get some feedback from lyn members.

According to my fren, who's is in sales, if he ever have the money to buy a more than rm150k car, probably Camry, accord, BMW 3 series and etc, he will make it as his weekend car only so that he will not wear out the car so fast. This means that he will be using a much lower end car like proton or perodua for his daily sales job and only drives the better car on weekends. His sales job is driving around the city and not going into the jungle or very terrible road conditions.

Now my argument is, since he is in sales, and he spends most of his time traveling, it would be stupid to put the good and nice car at home while using the less comfy and safe car for work. The only reason u buy a good car is to drive it and not put it at home for show only especially if you spend more than 50% of your time driving. Bear in mind that his concern is not the FC or maintenance cost but more of want to keep the car in tip top condition by not using it! I told him that by keeping the car in tip top condition, your next buyer will be the one benefitting from the underutilization. That would be like some of our parents buying jewelry but go and put it in safe deposit box and never wear it out (this might not be such a good example because security in m'sia is really bad but I guess u know what I am trying to say)

Of course if you buy lembugini or Ferrari then I can understand as they are not so suitable for daily use but we are talking about normal slightly more expensive sedans.

So which type of owners are you? I am sure there are many ppl like my fren too. Are you:

Type A: like my fren, keep the good car at home and drive only on weekends while using a lower specs car for daily work

Type B: like me, will just sell away the proton or perodua and only use the better car for all occasions.

Any feedback will be appreciated. Cheers!

BMW F30 320i or Audi A4 1.8TSFI facelift?

Guys need some opinion. I am currently driving the E90 which I bought 2nd hand last time. Now I want to buy a new car and it boils down to this 2 choice (my budget).

Audi is very attractive because there is 4% discount and free BO sound system, 18 inch rims and keyless start. Also I kinda like the Audi a4 design but many ppl tell me the Audi cvt is not good and this model going to be obsolete soon. Also the warranty only 2 years or 120k whichever comes first.

BMW on the other hand win hands down for the spacious legroom. Only problem is I have been driving BMW previously and don't feel like buying the same series of BMW again. Besides BMW got no discount and cost around 20k difference compared with the Audi.

I test drove both cars but even though the BMW boast higher hp, somehow I find the Audi more responsive. Can some sifu pls enlighten me on this? I think it's 186hp for BMW vs 170hp for Audi.

Most of the ppl I consult say I shouldn't even consider the Audi given the new F30 wins in every department. I know end of the day it's whether I like the car but I would glad to have some feedback of you sifus here.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
