Hi. Can anyone advise when is the best time of the year to buy a car from Volvo / BMW. When can get the best promo and also what to ask for? What can be negotiated?

Hi guys. I have been checking out the new volvo s60. Volvo sales rep said they launching the T8 R design at a price below 300k. He also said price for CBU and CKD will be the same. is this possible or is he BS ing me.

Hi guys.

I'm planning to upgrade from my abused 2012 Toyota vios (still going great). I'm looking for a fairly new used car or brand new.

BACKGROUND
Initially i was looking for a Mercedes. However, the cheapest W205 with warranty i could find is close to 200k. Which is a little bit more than what I am comfortable to pay for a used vehicle. At that rate, i might as well go for the BMW 3 series G20 when it comes out end of this year.

And then a friend drove me around his Volvo XC90 which has pilot assist which was awesome because i do mostly long distance highway driving. No way I can afford that and i don't like SUV.

Both the Merc C class and BMW does not have pilot assist / similar features.

So I decided that maybe I should go with an interim vehicle which will not depreciate too much like the F10 / F30 until autonomous driving become more mainstream. Then upgrade again. So here are my questions:-

MY SHORTLIST

1. G20 CKD price expected to be around 230k
2. W205 - certified pre owned - 200k
3. F10 (2015) from BMW Premium Selection - 150k
4. F30 - 120k

REJECTED
All Hybrid Models - i could only afford the used ones and scared of battery replacement cost.

CONSIDERATIONS
1. Fuel economy is not a main concern because i still have my vios which can take alot of abuses.
2. I'm very afraid of major breakdowns which will need repairs above 20k one time.
3. I don't do street racing so power is not a main question. I believe all modern cars are more than enough power wise for our roads.
4. Comfort is extremely important because of long drives.
5. Car needs to be prestigious.

OTHER QUESTIONS
1. How different is a continental car compared to modern Japanese cars which looks quite luxury comfort wise.
2. How many of you use autonomous driving modes frequently?

Any suggestions is welcomed.
