Can't boot to BIOS

Guys i need urgent help to repair my brother's pc,

I can't seem to enter BIOS, when restart there's no option to enter bios, it just skipped to windows.

Methods which I have tried but still failed:-
1) Disabling fast boot
2) Shift + Restart but no option for UEFI
3) shutdown /r /fw at the cmd prompt (Boot to firmware UI is not supported by this system's firmware.)

Check msinfo32 and I noticed that the BIOS mode has turned from UEFI since last time I install this PC to Legacy mode. Not sure what's the reason though.

Appreciate any help from you guys on how to change the mode back to UEFI.

Using motherboard ASROCK B450m Pro4 which does support UEFI.

Hi,

I have a middle age chinese couple who have been living next to my house. They have 2 sons. 1 in secondary school and 1 more is 2 years old. If i want to give the angpao should i give to the old brother or must i give to the younger one also? I dont mind giving to both but im worried of being rude as im not so sure about the culture. And how much in term of amount can i give? Is rm10-20 normal for angpao? Belum gaji cant afford to give rm50 lol... And lastly would it be rude if i only give to the children but not the parents? So sorry i really donno as this is my 1st time.

Hi guys,

Just started playing FFXIV and having much fun with it.

Usually active only around 7-12PM because I'll be working by day.

Only have created 1 character in Tonberry Server.

IGN Damien Thorn WAR class.

Invited to join a Singaporean FC name Vodka by someone I've met on my 1st day. Quite a friendly guild though.

My char is only at level 20 now as I currently enjoying leveling up crafting class to make level 20 armor set for my WAR hehehe.

As a newbie, I look forward to guidance from you guys fellow FFXIV seniors/sifus.

1 question though, when is the time that i can change the green newbie icon next to my name?

Need help to connect speaker to PC

Hi I'm trying to connect my speakers to my computer. Appreciate if anyone can guide me somehow. Thanks

I have bought the HiVi Swans X4 speakers years ago but now only got the chance to use it. The audio cables I have right now are RCA male to XLR male for each speaker. So I'm not so sure on how to connect the two RCA cables from each speaker to my desktop computer with Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard audio jacks.

Please advise the right way.

I contacted Emimarson through his whatsapp number that I've obtained from the comment section which he has provided in the thread link stated above. (even the author give credit to him in his article)

So at first everything was smooth and I've made the necessary payment on the same day.

27th June 2016
I messaged him to request for the status update, he mentioned that the service is not officially up yet.

10th July 2016 & 11th July 2016
I contacted him again on 10th July and received his reply on the 11th telling me to wait as he is on his way home.

No news after that....

14th July 2016
Contacted him again and still no update.

18th July 2016
Still no update since I last texted him on 14th July. So a quick check in the forum found that he's active. That made me angry.

So I texted and warned him to deliver the paid services or I will proceed on necessary action.

This time he replied by apologizing due to busyness for opening a new branch.

But then.... till today still no news.

Hence, I have no choice but to issue this dispute toward Emimarson with no intention to ruin his reputation, but only to solve my issue as it has already taken too long.

I'm quite frustrated by the fact that he's been ignoring my message.

Update as of 3rd August 2016:-

Tried calling him but to no avail. I've even tried texted him to return back my money but he seems uninterested to reply even though I've seen him online sometimes in this forum.

I can conclude that this is a scam.

I'm not able to attach any photos of our conversation or receipt of payment as evidence right now as I have limited access to uploading sites in my office. But I will post his banking account here.

I've recently been diagnosed for a certain syntom which im not comfortable of sharing in the public.

I've been referred to nearby hospital and onmyway now to get further treatment.

I would like to know if it will affect my career in the future.

I'm not straight now but would appreciate any kind of advise.

Hi guys,

I sent my myvi for basic service yesterday in KL area. I asked them to change ATF oil, Engine oil, change all filter and spark plugs.

After collected, I drove straight from KL to Damansara (15km) and then back again to my office in KL (19km). But before I reached my office I sent my car to car wash 1st and asked them to wash in+out+engine.

I didnt noticed any problem at all at first. But after around 5 hours when I started to drive back to my home from office, I noticed that the car chocked when I shift my gear from P to D mode and my transmission wont shift to higher one (it's feels like the car moving in gear 1) and started making a roaring noise when accelerating. After that I found that the AT indicator was on.

At first I thought this might be something wrong with the ATF oil. Probably leaking or maybe not enough oil. So I called the foreman to come and inspect last night, and he said that the issue might be on Wire on Gearbox, or ECU that might disturb the ATF oil sensor. But when I heard he said that this problem usually arise due to engine washing I straight away confess to him.

I did called and asked several of my friends, and the respond was change the wire / let the wire to dry / send to mechanic to inspect instead of perodua because it will be much cheaper / send to perodua because only they can diagnose the problem

I would kindly like to ask your thought on this -
1. Is this due somehow the wire isn't dry properly, and it needs time to let it dry?
2. Should I still go to change the gearbox wire? Or I just need to wait for another time since it needs time to dry properly? Or I should change the wire?
3. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

I really need this to be solved quickly because if im not mistaken perodua only open half day today and tomorrow I have to go to my friend's wedding in Perak.

Hi guys,

I have to travel from Subang to KL everyday for works. It's been 4 years already and the traffic are giving me headache. I purposely delay the time I went back from work to about 4 and 5 hours everyday and reach home around 10pm 11pm everyday just to avoid the traffic.

Since i prefer to spend more time at home, I've decided that the best way is to get a bike. I prefer moped bike. Would like to know your opinion. If you have a choice of Yamaha 125zr or y15zr, which one would you pick? The features i'm looking into is 1) comfort, 2) fun riding, 3) fuel saving, 4) fast

[Myvi] Gear shift at P mode but car is still at D

Just now after i park my car once arrived at my office, i felt that the gear shift is kinda loose when i tried to shift the gear from D to P. after that i noticed the car is still moving soon after i let go of the brake, almost crashing the car parked infront, luckily i managed to hit back the brake on time (lol)

now the gear shift is at P, which is stuck there, and the car is still in D mode. since im late already so i just turn off my car. and leave it like that.

anyone have an idea of what seems to be the problem?

Malicious Email

I accidentally opened a malicious email from my pc. Since the sender was my boss, I didn't think much and clicked the link given in the email. and now my email are automatically sending a link to other contacts. Are there any specific precautions/actions I should take? How do i stop this before anyone else gets infected?

Being Called for Misconduct

Hi guys, I need some opinions.

I'm currently working in a Risk department. We are an independent dept where we handle a lot of confidentiality issues. Being called as a "bad boy" by the management is normal to us as we report several sensitive issues to the board. My boss keep remind us to beware to whom you speaking as there are eyes watching just to find our fault.

and today my boss informed me that I've been called to meet the management tomorrow because of misconduct so he told me to be prepared. The issue is because the management received words of me revealing a confidential issue regarding of one of our management member had received a show cause letter from us before. To be truth, I'm quite sure that I didn't revealed any info regarding that and the only thing I remember was when some of our staff called regarding salary revision issue, I only said "if you think it's wrong and unfair, please study and get more evidence. If you are right then we will try to resolve it and the one responsible has potential to receive a show cause letter" (and the one responsible is the one who got the show cause letter before)

My boss advised me to keep calm, just deny to my wrongdoing and tell the truth. and in order to keep the story short (as he don't want to drag the story as it has a very big potential for me to be called for domestic inquiry) my boss said that he will defend me but he will appeal to the management to give me a warning letter instead.

What I want to ask is whether should I follow my boss advise? If not what should I do tomorrow? I'm not sure whether what I said is wrong or not but for me to receive a warning letter because of something that I did not do is totally unfair. My boss did give me a choice whether to fight or just deny and keep calm. If I choose to fight then this matter will be prolong and for sure I will be called for DI. I really don't want this.

Sorry if my words are confusing. I can't think straight right now as I'm really worry for tomorrow.

Hi audiophiles,

Have you guys heard about Wharfedale? Currently there's an opening sales promotion by one of the local stores offering combo package of Onkyo TX-NR414 5.1 DTS HD AV Receiver + Wharfedale MS100 Satellite 5.1 Speaker System for RM2,999 (original price is RM4,590) Thingking of getting this but first I would like to know whether or not if this is a good buy? Not much review on the Wharfedale MS-100 but AV MAX rated it as the best for 2012. Not sure it's reliable or not.

Currently my TV set is Sony Bravia KDL-47W704 (not 3D supported.. doesnt matter as I'm not into 3D). Mainly use for watching Blu-ray movies and playing games. Both using PS3 as the Blu-ray player.

FYI, one more combo pack is Pioneer VSX-822K 5.1 3D DTS HD AV Receiver + Wharfedale DX-1 Satellite 5.1 Speaker System for RM3,999 (original price is RM5,679). It's a little expensive for me but I still can manage to afford it if it is recommended.

Please advise and give opinion on this.
