Joint buying SNP & Deed of trust

Hi,

I joined up with my friend to buy two properties. Earlier we have put in both our names in to the SNP but for the loan part, my friend is taking it up as I've already maxed out on borrowing. The lawyer told my friend to put only her name in the SNP as she is the one taking the loan and instead sign a deed of trust?

Should I go with this deed of trust or insist to have 2 names in the SNP still ? What should I be looking out on? Those that have bought joint properties before is very much appreciated to comment. Thanks
