Its been a long absence from the reptile world, however, poison runs deep and I finally succumbed to the deep desire of owning reptiles.<br /><br />Hence without further a due, here’s what reignited my desire of reptiles…..Crested Geckos&#33;<br />Here are <i>some</i> of my collection...<br /><br />Fire morph baby<br /><img src='http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss352/draken_pix/Crested%20Geckos/DSC_0013fire.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Harlequin Morph baby<br /><img src='http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss352/draken_pix/Crested%20Geckos/DSC_0020harlycopy.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Crested Geckos (Rhacodactylus ciliatus) are a beautiful arboreal species. They are pretty much similar to Leopard Geckos as they possess the same acceptance levels of handling and are relatively easy to care for. Thought to be extinct until 1994, they are now gaining fast popularity among hobbyist.<br /><br />Crested Geckos go through an ontogenetic colour change, much like carpet pythons. Even as adults, their color may vary from time of day. This is a big male Fire morph I have that is fully “fired up”. The term “fire up” is commonly used with cresties and describes a specimen that is fully displaying its strongest colour.<br /><img src='http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss352/draken_pix/Crested%20Geckos/DSC_0033harley.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /><br />Here’s a fine example of a beautiful double morph Pinstripe Harlequin. This is a full “pinstripe” morph from Anthony Caponetto’s Area 51 project.
